Race Against Time: Ongoing Mission
Once the training is over people can get to work pretty quickly, there is plenty to be done both out in the world and back at the hub for those not too keep on jumping straight in to a strange volcanic planet with creatures that probably want to eat them.
Hub
The underground hub is a centre of activity. It turns out there isn't all that much fuel for shuttles to get back up to the space station so trips are rationed, they will hold villagers and lindusi until they have full shuttles and then send them up. So the hub is busy with scientists, lindusi in holding pens and as the week goes on villagers who may not be too impressed with the evacuation.
There is food, usually large pots of soup that can be reheated whenever people are around. Though some heavier meals are provided at set times the people leading the evacuation are keen not to let any of their helpers, or those they are rescuing, starve.
Sleeping rooms hold bunk beds, usually around eight a room but as the hub fills up space gets limited. Sharing beds or sleeping on the floor may become necessary.
For those hanging around the hub as the week goes on there is plenty to do, small jobs, entertaining village children, logistics, communication. Or they can find a quiet place to rest before going back out on their mission.
Red
The skies are heavy with debris, both from space and the volcanic ash and rocks from the planet itself. The fighter craft are not difficult to pilot but nor are they easy. They cannot be piloted by one person, unless that person has four arms and space in the cockpit is tight for two people.
It's difficult work and it is probably good for everybody that the craft only fly for six hours before recharging, it means they have to work in shifts, and rest when they are not in the sky. The pilots from the world are generally friendly, if very focused.
Purple
Flying bubble pods around what seems like an apocalyptic wasteland may seem surreal and that's before they even get to the villages. The villages are mostly underground, bunkers where groups of people shelter. There are a range of ages. Some villages come easy, some do not. Diplomacy is key.
Watch out for falling rocks, rogue lindusi and angry villagers, all are threats that have to mitigated. As the week goes on the villagers get more stubborn, the earthquakes get more frequent and the villagers that are waiting to be taken off world get more impatient. It's a tough job.
Orange
The lindusi are scattered across the island. Mostly as far away from volcanoes as possible though there are a few that seem too curious for their own good.
The trucks to hold the lindusi in are kept in a central point in an area whilst the groups go out to try and round as many up as possible. The voidtreckers are encouraged to stick together as they don't know the area or threats very well.
Blue
The Blue team are to protect the scientists, both those collecting plants and other life samples and those with Orange rounding up Lindusi. Once they have the hang of the shield devices it's just a case of sticking close by, keeping both eyes open and being quick to activate shields whenever there is a threat.
There are plenty of threats, it's one thing this island has in abundance.

Romeo and Elfnein combo if anyone wants to tag them both just indicate in the subject!
Romeo can mostly be found by Elfnein's side. He had missed her a lot in the month that they had been parted and now he wanted to make sure they stuck together. It felt good to be with her again. She had been a constant in his life all the time that he could remember and he had felt strange and lost without her. But now she was here and they were helping people and being a good team and it all felt right again.
"Over there!" He whispered, pointing into the distance where there was a group of three small lindusi. "I think they are only half of your size..." Maybe. It was a bit tricky judging but he didn't want Elfnein getting hurt! It was best to be safe, even if that meant only collecting the really small ones!
Trouble
"Run quickly, get out of here! Line!" There are currently two shields in front of Romeo, the shield from the device he has been given and a borderline behind it for when the first shield drops. Behind the shields is a huge lindusi! Big and toothy and very angry looking.
"Look we are just trying to help you! You don't want to get all burned by volcanoes!" He glanced around, hoping that anyone nearby had ran away! He was just trying to hold this lindusi back until they were all safe.
Hub
He can be found around the hub whenever it is his turn to rest, not quite resting. He helps out with the cooking, can often be found tidying up or looking after some of the smaller children, telling them stories or playing games to stop them being scared. Sometimes he can be found curled up on a chair, sleeping, having worked so hard he crashed before finding a bed.
no subject
Or at least if they were the kids or other smaller members of the lindusi, it would be natural to assume the others would follow in that situation.
no subject
He stuck close to Elfnein, ready in case he had to shield her against anything.
no subject
She really didn't want Romeo to get hurt because of her and the plan that they were going to do.
"If it's too much, we should fall back"
no subject
He smiled at her, in a reassuring way.
no subject
Elfnein knew that Romeo was trying to reassure her and make it so she didn't need to worry, but she was still a bit concerned.
no subject
They are always alright. They are a great team. These were different kinds of monsters than he was used to, these ones couldn't be rended. But also they weren't supposed to hurt them at all. Only catch them!
Still he was sure they would be good at it! Elfnein could do anything, and therefore Romeo could do anything if he was with her!
no subject
Now, coming up with a plan would be the hard part of it; Elfnein could distract them with making a lot of different light up signs. Though they would have to be at the ready to capture the monsters.
"Do you have any ideas for what we should do?"
no subject
"Well we only got one of the capturing things, right? So we got to try and get one on their own, otherwise the others might get mad!"
no subject
no subject
So maybe not a pitfall. "Maybe if we get their attention and run towards the rocks they will come after us! Once we get there you can teleport behind them and catch them!"
no subject
no subject
It's a pretty solid idea, he thinks. "Lindusi can't climb can they?"

either, or both? Up to you guys
A familiar voice informs Romeo, and then Kaito vaults over the shield, tossing the yoyo as he goes.
no subject
He got ready to drop his borderline and run forwards if Kaito needed the help!
no subject
"I'll keep it distracted! You work on catching it!"
It's just like playing with the cops, except with more teeth.
no subject
Elfnein has a yoyo, if she is nearby but it might be best if Romeo does the distracting! "Line!" He threw a attacking borderline, not at the lindusi because he didn't want to hurt it, but close enough to be a threat.
"Come on you big Lindusi! Stop trying to eat nice mister Kaito!"
no subject
At the yell he ducks, backtracking towards the younger kids.
no subject
He can throw his borderlines out further than the shield device he has and they are more natural, his first thought when he's trying to help somebody.
A shimmering wall forms between Kaito and the lindusi, Romeo runs towards Kaito. "Sir! If you give me the yoyo I can drop the borderline then you can distract while I catch it! It's a good plan you had!"
He winces as the lindusi charges the wall.
no subject
"Great idea. Here!"
He shoves it into Romeo's hand and pulls out his cardgun instead.
"HEY BIG FELLA!"
He fires the gun, sending a card whistling past it's right ear, and tries not to wince. He needs a full deck to get away with most of his tricks, he'll have to try and retrieve the card later. But if it distracts the Lindusi....
no subject
He let the borderline drop and was amazed to see a card fly through the air. It was a good distraction though. Romeo ran around the other side of the lindusi so that he could be ready to throw the yoyo!
no subject
no subject
So Romeo had to make this count! He took a deep breath and threw the yoyo right at the lindusi! It hit and the straps burst out around it, holding it's arms together and stopping it's jaws from snapping at Kaito!
Romeo's triumph was short lived however when it thrashed to the side, the harness jerked, Romeo kept tight hold of his end and the strength of the lindusi knocked him off his feet. He still kept hold though, even as he went crashing to the floor.
no subject
"Good catch!" He calls and then winces as Romeo goes down.
"Romeo! Kid, are you okay?"
The lindusi is thrashing, but the harness is hampering it, and Kaito decides he can risk doubling around to give Romeo a hand.
no subject
However that is more tricky than it might seem, he is flung to the side, then the other side. He's going to have lots of bruises. But as long as he keeps hold of the harness it will be alright!
He belatedly remembers Elfnein telling him she wasn't meant to catch any more than half as big as her, now he knows why.
