Race Against Time: Ongoing Mission
Once the training is over people can get to work pretty quickly, there is plenty to be done both out in the world and back at the hub for those not too keep on jumping straight in to a strange volcanic planet with creatures that probably want to eat them.
Hub
The underground hub is a centre of activity. It turns out there isn't all that much fuel for shuttles to get back up to the space station so trips are rationed, they will hold villagers and lindusi until they have full shuttles and then send them up. So the hub is busy with scientists, lindusi in holding pens and as the week goes on villagers who may not be too impressed with the evacuation.
There is food, usually large pots of soup that can be reheated whenever people are around. Though some heavier meals are provided at set times the people leading the evacuation are keen not to let any of their helpers, or those they are rescuing, starve.
Sleeping rooms hold bunk beds, usually around eight a room but as the hub fills up space gets limited. Sharing beds or sleeping on the floor may become necessary.
For those hanging around the hub as the week goes on there is plenty to do, small jobs, entertaining village children, logistics, communication. Or they can find a quiet place to rest before going back out on their mission.
Red
The skies are heavy with debris, both from space and the volcanic ash and rocks from the planet itself. The fighter craft are not difficult to pilot but nor are they easy. They cannot be piloted by one person, unless that person has four arms and space in the cockpit is tight for two people.
It's difficult work and it is probably good for everybody that the craft only fly for six hours before recharging, it means they have to work in shifts, and rest when they are not in the sky. The pilots from the world are generally friendly, if very focused.
Purple
Flying bubble pods around what seems like an apocalyptic wasteland may seem surreal and that's before they even get to the villages. The villages are mostly underground, bunkers where groups of people shelter. There are a range of ages. Some villages come easy, some do not. Diplomacy is key.
Watch out for falling rocks, rogue lindusi and angry villagers, all are threats that have to mitigated. As the week goes on the villagers get more stubborn, the earthquakes get more frequent and the villagers that are waiting to be taken off world get more impatient. It's a tough job.
Orange
The lindusi are scattered across the island. Mostly as far away from volcanoes as possible though there are a few that seem too curious for their own good.
The trucks to hold the lindusi in are kept in a central point in an area whilst the groups go out to try and round as many up as possible. The voidtreckers are encouraged to stick together as they don't know the area or threats very well.
Blue
The Blue team are to protect the scientists, both those collecting plants and other life samples and those with Orange rounding up Lindusi. Once they have the hang of the shield devices it's just a case of sticking close by, keeping both eyes open and being quick to activate shields whenever there is a threat.
There are plenty of threats, it's one thing this island has in abundance.

Ongoing: Red
By now he'd gotten a good handle on both flying the space fighter crafts and the weapons system. He'd gone out a number of times with the pilots from the base and he appreciated how focused they were. When he was with someone from the Voidtreckers, he tended to be the pilot to make certain they came back in one piece. There were a few exceptions to this, of course.
Improving/ Tweaking the Technology
Leave it to Feanor and Tony to come back from six hours of grueling work, arguing. Fortunately this specific argument wasn't because someone was in someone else's personal space but how to best improve the fighter craft and weapons. Instead of going to rest, Tony went and found a set of tools before joining Feanor back at the fighter craft they just used.
"I'm telling you, it's the fuel injectors that are causing that annoying shutter! If that wasn't there then the ride would be smoother and would wear less on the pilots and the rest of the system. They don't need a different crystallized fuel source!"
Resting
For the first day or so, Tony pushed himself to do more than one shift in a row but between the pressure that put on his body and the nagging from his friends and boyfriend, he relented and started taking proper rest breaks.
He sat at one of the tables in the base with a hot- well, he wasn't sure what it was- drink in his hands. He was guessing it was tea/ sports drink of some kind, but he was really missing coffee about now. That mixed with the dried mix he'd brought from the train, he was doing his best to use as little of the base's supplies as he could. He kept looking toward the hanger, waiting to see who of the Voidtreckers would come back from their mission before he went to find a bed.
Fighting debris
She wishes she hadn't been gone so long that she can't tell anymore.
"Got a preference?"
Re: Fighting debris

fighting debris
She's been up a few times and she's getting used to the controls, she hasn't tried the actual flying yet but she is getting good at shooting. You needed quick eyes and quick hands and she had both.
She arrived in the hanger, still rubbing sleep from her eyes and grinned when she saw Tony. "Do you be needing a partner?"

Resting
Joss had called his blood 'medical supplies,' and even though he'd gotten a few strange looks for having a backpack full of O+, at least they'd let him borrow a corner of their kitchen to keep his meals fresh.
After that, it had just been a matter of sneaking off into a dark, isolated corner of the hanger and drinking a bag.
Now that those immediate needs have been taken care of, he wanders back into the mess. Blood keeps him alive, but he still wants solid food. Even when the solid food is something indistinguishably brown that looks partially digested already.
He grabs a bowl and sits down near Tony. There's a smear of ash on the boy's cheek that he doesn't know is there, and his normally immaculate clothing is somewhat singed, but at least he's still in once piece.
"Holding up, Stark?"

Tweaking the Technology
So it's more crimson cider for Tony and Feanor, and what looks like soup. Bean soup! There's also some fresh bread to go with it--it's not leavened, so it's more like pita bread, but it is recently made.
"Time for your arguing break, Tony! Both of you need to wash your hands and eat!" Mama Sara won't take no for an answer, either!

Resting (workaholics unite?)
Slumping a bit too, with a sigh of exhaustion. Right then, he was familiar--and things were calm enough, she didn't feel the need to actively project 'peace and calm'. He was, in some ways, a person she would let her guard down around. A bit.
Not that she'd tell him; his ego was too much already.
High five workaholics!

When she's not out rounding up lindusi or dead-to-the-world-sleeping, Eva is back at base. Most of the time, she's hunkered down with food. Princess is with her and they both devour food like it's going out of fashion as Eva pours over maps of lindusi locations, focased on the large ones. It's noticeable, though, that she is avoiding anything related to coffee. To the point she's willing to skip a meal. Princess isn't, and Eva isn't shy about what her companion devours.
Night finds her sleeping as if she is dead to the world. She sleeps where she must and without complaint, to the point she'll offer children her bed rather than allow them to sleep on the floor.
It's fine. She's done it before and no matter where she ends up sleeping, Princess is curled up by her side. Odd, given she typically pokeballs him at night. Of course, anyone who approaches Eva herself while she's sleeping will quickly learn why: The pokemon's sleeping habbits don't match Eva's and Princess is a very light sleeper. He's also quick to growl in warning at any who approach.
Outside of that though, she's checking in with everyone; bunkmates, Orange Team, the other teams. Eva needs to keep active when not out doing her job.
Orange
Eva's done her best to coordinate her team when it comes to the larger Lindusi and herding them towards a central location. But, at the same time, she knows that can't always happen, and regardless of where she is, there's an air to her, now. Gone is the easy-going person, relaced by a young woman with a look of grim determination.
A woman who knows what she's doing.
"Unless you want a nap, cover your ears now." It's the only warning people will get from the woman. They will not she is standing behind her pokemon as well, Princess* settled back on his hindlegs, vestigal wings flared for balance. "Princess, Sing!"
At the same time she gives the command, Eva plunges fingers into ears as the fairy-type pokemon starts to Sing. The air in front of him shimmers with a purple energy directed towards the Lindusi. Should they come into contact with it, they will most likely slump to the ground in a slumber. Unlike the demonstration she did some months ago, this time the song keeps going until all the Lindusi are sleeping. Any breaths Princess takes short, to the point and above all, timed perfectly.
But, just because it's not directed at people doesn't mean the song won't put someone to sleep for an hour if they hear it. Eva did warn everyone...
((OOC: Middle one!))
Hub
She also has a mug filled with something hot and steaming and not coffee--it's red, for one thing, and smells slightly of fruit, but with a peppery tang that teases the nose.
"Crimson cider," Sarai says, as she offers the mug to Eva and a smile to Princess, even as he growls. He's only protecting Eva, so the Au Ra is neither angry nor afraid, and reacts accordingly. "Yes, if she says it is all right, you may have some food too!" The packet she offers to the trainer has both the travel bread and some salmon jerky in it, as well.
/Late ;_;
it's been a month for sure
Orange
He has been pretty interested in Princess, he's not sure what he is. But he is a very helpful creature, especially since he can put the lindusi to sleep like this!

hub (open to anyone) & the villages (purple)!
[ Having proclaimed himself to be a master entertainer, Inigo has volunteered to move back and forth to accompany the villagers they're evacuating to the hub and then go back to pick up more. It means he sure is doing an overload of work, but honestly, Inigo wouldn't be Inigo if he wasn't secretly working himself to the bone.
Sometimes it gets a little much though. Like right now, for example, when he's trying to entertain a group of kids that have been evacuated to this place, only to have the group suddenly turn on him and start having fun with him in their own way. If you happen to be in the hub too and spot him, you may see Inigo with at least two children climbing his back and another one having grabbed his legs, with a small group of children cheering them on. ]
Ah, please-- Hang on a moment!
[ Someone please come rescue the brave warrior.. ]
(b: the villages)
[ Or maybe you're also on the purple team, out in the underground villages and trying to convince the people to leave. It's what Inigo is doing right now - he seems to be talking with a man taller than him, but even without overhearing them it's obvious from their body language that the man isn't going to give in to what Inigo is trying to convince him of, no matter how friendly Inigo's trying to smile.
Suddenly the boy turns his head, looking around, and that's when he spots you and quickly waves you over. ]
Ah..! Please, do lend me a hand over here for a second..!
B
"How might I help you gentlemen, then?" She includes the other man in her sweet-natured and charming smile, and offers them both a bow, tail twitching slightly as Sarai straightens.

"Damn it, give that back," Dread growled at the lindusi. 'That' was his hand and wrist, which the reptile had clamped down on, and was attempting to back away with. Dread, both still attached and unwilling to give ground, had planted his feet quite firmly, turning the tug-of-war into a stalemate for the moment. He was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to punch these things to death, but he was rapidly re-evaluating his options.
All: Hub Excitement
In the midst of all the excitement, with activity flurrying around and chaos rapidly expanding to fill every available spot, one place stood fast against the tide: a circle of children, who had claimed a spot mostly out of the way to pay rapt attention to a Roegadyn that probably weighed more than every single one of them put together. Dread was telling them a story.
"So Inspector Hildebrand came down the staircase dressed as the bride. Wedding dress, makeup, and everything!"
More than one adult was drifting closer, trying to overhear this too.
Animal Planet
"Who's a good Lindusi?" Sarai asked the leader, even as she dragged her claws lightly over the reptile's head.
"Dread, could you please stop playing with that big one? We need to get these into the transport and back to the hub..." Preferably as soon as possible--there were more to collect, after all. She paused, then. "Do...do you need help?"

Romeo and Elfnein combo if anyone wants to tag them both just indicate in the subject!
Romeo can mostly be found by Elfnein's side. He had missed her a lot in the month that they had been parted and now he wanted to make sure they stuck together. It felt good to be with her again. She had been a constant in his life all the time that he could remember and he had felt strange and lost without her. But now she was here and they were helping people and being a good team and it all felt right again.
"Over there!" He whispered, pointing into the distance where there was a group of three small lindusi. "I think they are only half of your size..." Maybe. It was a bit tricky judging but he didn't want Elfnein getting hurt! It was best to be safe, even if that meant only collecting the really small ones!
Trouble
"Run quickly, get out of here! Line!" There are currently two shields in front of Romeo, the shield from the device he has been given and a borderline behind it for when the first shield drops. Behind the shields is a huge lindusi! Big and toothy and very angry looking.
"Look we are just trying to help you! You don't want to get all burned by volcanoes!" He glanced around, hoping that anyone nearby had ran away! He was just trying to hold this lindusi back until they were all safe.
Hub
He can be found around the hub whenever it is his turn to rest, not quite resting. He helps out with the cooking, can often be found tidying up or looking after some of the smaller children, telling them stories or playing games to stop them being scared. Sometimes he can be found curled up on a chair, sleeping, having worked so hard he crashed before finding a bed.
no subject
Or at least if they were the kids or other smaller members of the lindusi, it would be natural to assume the others would follow in that situation.

For the first few days, Danny spends as little time in the hub as possible. His conscience kept nagging at him that every moment he slept eating or eating here was one less person evacuated from the planet.
But even ghosts needed to sleep. He finally crashes and sleeps for a few hours before blearily dragging himself out to a table to eat.
Purple
Danny wasn't sure whether it was his experience with driving his parent's more interesting vehicle shaped inventions or all the hours he'd logged on space shuttle simulators, but it hadn't taken him too long to pick up on the techniques for driving the bubble pods.
Now convincing a group of angry people to evacuate when they really, really didn't want to leave? That was a different challenge altogether.
"You are surrounded by volcanoes right now, if you haven't noticed. Isn't it getting a little too hot to handle?"
Purple, Slightly Later
Any plans Danny might have had about not showing up as a ghost here immediately get abandoned when he spots an enormous lindusi stampeding towards some arguing villagers. He tosses off some excuse at his teammates and quickly ducks out of sight and transforms, reaching the villagers just in time to throw up one of his strongest shields.
It holds, barely.
purple
He looks kind of baffled.
"Was.. that an intentional pun?"

Hi! I'm super late to this party | Slightly later
Never too late!

It had only taken one trip out with the team for Conan to decide that he could be of much more use here. He knew what his strengths were, and physically capturing the lindusi was definitely not included.
He spends time with the scientists to start, asking them questions about the lindusi's behavior and the geography of the planet. He helps where he can, wherever anyone is willing to accept help from a child.
And then he spreads out papers on one of the tables and gets to work. There had be a more efficient way to capture the lindusi rather than capturing them one at a time with the yo-yos, and it was time to figure it out.

He does come back to crash, and to help himself to the... THING that Conan calls coffee. It does help so... he'll just. Resign himself to paying for it later.
He can be found often curled in a corner, back to a wall. It's a very light, defensive sleep. Careful about disturbing him, or the card-gun might make an appearance.
Or, he's curled possessively around a coffee mug while he inhales his food. Is... is the coffee... tarnishing the spoon!?
Orange
Stick together, bla bla bla. He heard the briefing, but caution is boring. He uses the trees as ambush sites, dropping down out of the lower branches to catch wandering Lindusi... and to say hi to other passengers.
"BOO!"
That counts as hi, right?
Raven OTA
Raven was at the hub usually long enough to get food, check in, and then find a quiet place to rest. Which meant huddling in her cloak and meditating. And occasionally maybe a nap too. With everyone in such tight quarters though, and all the excitement and fear, her appetite wasn't as strong as her need to relax. Or try to. Herbal tea was her drink of choice, and anytime she was in a crowded area she was keeping to herself so she could focus on actively projecting peace, and calm.
Like she'd done on the train; trying to keep the general ambience and mood from spiralling into bad places. A form of passive crowd-control, although it meant she wasn't as aware of others approaching her beyond not bumping into people or objects. Once they were back on the train, she planned to kidnap a quiet car and camp in it for several days.
Purple
Raven had started to do a rotation of sorts. Flying from group to group with her team-mates, seeing if she was needed for support in whatever way she could. Diplomacy and persuasion in the form of calm words and logic, using her dark energy to prevent falling rocks or reinforce-structures, or helping stabilize people when the earthquakes hit. Even trying to calm a lizard while 'herding' it to where it was supposed to go.
Except for the time-frame, it wasn't too different from some of the stuff she and the Titans had dealt with.
Wild Card
Got an idea? Hit me up.
hub
She even looks happy to see her, judging by the smile on Madoka's face.
"Hi..! I'm so glad to see you here!" Granted, Madoka would be happy to see any familiar face. But Raven was so sweet when she helped her out last time that it feels extra good.

By virtue of a blessing bestowed upon him for reasons unknown, Fëanor did resist the urge to take apart the spacecraft he got assigned to and started treating as his own. He did, however, introduce several modifications. In the end, everyone can clearly tell which of the fighters is his. As space becomes scarce with more and more refugees and animals pouring in, he stays there longer and ends up even sleeping inside.
When he's not up in the sky with whoever he can entice to do the shooting for him, he's somewhere around the hub. Either tinkering on the craft alone, arguing about details of the proposed improvements with Tony or bothering the scientists for the knowledge about the world.
He makes sure both of his sons are back in the base before nightfall and every evening he goes to usurp the radio to call his eldest to relay to him the events of the day and how much progress, in his opinion, they are making.
The Red
When it comes to actual flying Fëanor prefers to keep piloting to himself and seek out someone willing to do the shooting for him.
"Shooting is boring" he'd say if asked leaving it to the person asking the question to figure out if he's joking or not.
He is. He'd rather enjoyed it those couple of times that he tried. Enjoyed it a little too much actually. It's not the first time he encountered using light as a weapon.
