Onward: Blue

On the second night the ground begins to shake. The islanders seem well versed in earthquake safety and there is no mass panic- from them anyways. They will help any voidtreckers who don't know what to do in such a situation. The shaking is over quickly and is not strong enough to do any major damage though there are some after shocks throughout the day.

More worryingly are the thick clouds that roll out, covering the sky. Despite the memories these might invoke in the void warriors they are normal clouds.

Or perhaps not that normal, dawn breaks into darkness, the sun barely penetrating. Shadows are deep and the temperature cooler. It is not too dark to see, more like an endless twilight.

The monsters do not retreat into the sea as dawn comes. Instead they continue their attack into the day, unrelenting.

The seas themselves are rough, large waves crashing down onto the beach. The current is strong, as if the very sea itself is fighting them.

She... was so confused. Why was she being thanked? Wasn't that a friend thing? she wished Axel or Roxas was there to ask. But she couldn't find them....

She focused instead on the one the Somebody was dealing with. She waited for the perfect moment when the Somebody wasn't in the way. "FIRAGA!" she yelled, hurling a fireball at this one. Another reason to wish Axel was there...

She had moved out of the way, going for another that was coming in close, using the sword she had been given to attempt to deal with it or at least get it to back off for the time being.

One soon came up behind her as she turned to kick it out of simple reaction. It was at least hard enough to send it tumbling onto it's back and gives the young blonde enough time to stab it in what she assumed would be considered a weak spot.

"Well so far so good... But do you find yourself getting tired?"

And the Somebody... kept talking to her. Why?

She looked ip at her, in the seeming lull.

"Why would it matter if I was?" she asked. As her first foray into conversation, it wasn't promising.

"Because if you are, you will need to rest, that's all." That's if it was at all possible, but Minako knew being tired wasn't exactly a great thing either. It was why she was making sure she paid attention to how she was feeling.

"There is no time to rest, resting happens after all the monsters are gone." Or the mission is done. Either way, resting doesn't start till after. sunset with friends.

"That would normally be true for someone working alone, but there are many people here who can take up the strain to let those who need it rest. One shouldn't overdo it because that could cause a lot of problems later especially in the middle of battle. So please, when you feel like you are reaching your limit, take a break and let those who are still going and are fine to keep it up."

"I will not fail," she said, firmly. She wasn't letting anyone turn her into a dusk, or whatever they might do here, for failing to meet some unknown quota. Besides, every monster she ended was one less for Axel and Roxas to have to face.

Minako soon turned to take care of another slashing away at it. But that was the full extent of what she really was capable of here. "Good, though if I have to drag you away for whatever reason, I will do."

"You will not. They are counting on me," she said flatly before turning to charge at another, launching a fireball at it with a yell.

"Yes I will. Can they count of you if you end up passed out because your exhausted? I don't think so." She managed to kick a crab so hard it went flying onto it's back.

"I won't pass out until it is over. They know that." She firmly believed that her friends knew she would keep going till the mission was done. And that they knew she would then probably sleep for a whole month after.

Hopefully Roxas was collecting shells....

"I still believe you need to learn what to back down and rest and reply on others to handle it because I worry someday you won't and it will be at the worse possible moment." Minako herself has never over-exhausted herself and knew that if she did and had to take forever to recover then she couldn't do her job if something else were to happen. That thought was always something that terrified her.

"I get wanting to be this big hero and feel like you can take on everything because powers and all, but resting when you need to helps much more than going until you are exhausted. Even I know I will back out of fights and trust in others to keep it going while I rest up ."

"You don't need to worry for me. I'm not a hero. I'm a Nobody." Or she was? She's... still not fully clear on that, really. "I'm just here because it is a mission."

[loveandduty]

"As much as I know not to worry. Since your part of the same team, I just cannot help but worry." Yes, it was just a mission but for Minako she also kind of wanted to make sure no one could get hurt.

"Is that a having a heart thing....?" She didn't understand it. At least, she didn't think she did. She was still learning to identify what actually was a feeling, let alone what each feeling should be called. But hadn't Axel and Roxas worried about her? Had they? She bent to pick up a shell before standing to look for them, feeling the hard edges of the shell through her glove as she closed her hand tightly around it.

"I don't know what you mean at all by having a heart. I mean I do because that's how I am alive and all." After all, it beats blood around the body, something that her body needs to do.

"But caring or worrying is an emotion if that is what you mean"

"Oh." Emotions. She was still learning those. "So someone without a heart... isn't alive? Doesn't exist?"

"I mean in my world not having one means one would be a zombie or something. The undead. But then you have a different meaning of heart and that is like emotions and stuff."

[nobodys_puppet]

Now she was really confused. "That's different? Doesn't un something mean the opposite? Wouldn't undead be alive?" She was trying not to make sounds of distress, but every time she thought she was beginning to understand all this heart stuff, someone came along and confused her again.

"Not in the same way, but yes. Zombies are terrifying though considering they just want to eat your brains and such." She kind of hoped they neer4 heads to go on a mission involving zombies like that. That would be creepy.

[nobodys_puppet]

"I just eat ice cream..." Did this weird Somebody think that Nobodies wanted to eat brains and... whatever such meant? Was such ice cream? Was she a zombie? She'd have to ask Axel. He could unconfuse her, maybe.

[loveandduty]

"Oh...were we on about you?" She thought she was talking about zombies, she hadn't really thought it was about an actual person.

But for the time being her focus was back on what was heading toward them as she managed to knock back one crab.

She readied herself to fight again. "Were we not?" She was used to being confused. And right now the battle mattered more.

Minako nodded slightly, soon getting back to focus on the situation 100% rather than less than that. After a few more fell she started to look over "Is it okay if I head over there. I think there might be people needing help there"

"Why wouldn't it be?" Why was the Somebody even asking? If she wanted to leave, why didn't she just.. leave?
