The pool was large enough that their lines were not going to cross, so Trowa just relaxed. "I'm glad we're here after having been underground a few weeks ago." The open air was wonderful.

Quatre relaxed as well, half-watching his line to see when something took it and half-watching Trowa and Amira. This was nice. Very much like a vacation for him. He got so few of those even with all of his money.

"I'm glad too. It feels so crowded on the train. And then everything with those monsters."

Quatre had gone with orange. Probably one of the few to not be underground.

There was a shudder Trowa couldn't suppress at the reminder of their latest mission. "I think I'm going to be opting out of anything remotely underground for a while."

"Sounds like a plan to me. I've heard that it wasn't exactly very pleasant. If only we had so much control over the missions that we had to take."

"I'm just glad I remembered the evac button on the SCA." Even if he'd been beaten up pretty badly, and was still sore in areas from the scrapes and bruises he'd acquired, it was better than having to see a heart next to his name in the roster.

"Yes, I am glad that you remembered about it. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." It had been bad enough, but being scraped up was better than having died.

"A few more days and I think the last of the bruises will be gone." Trowa's line bobbed a little, but not enough for him to think he had a bite yet.

"That's good," Quatre smiled. He hated seeing Trowa with so many bruises. He knew of course it was inevitable, but he still didn't like it. Quatre's line bobbed as well and he looked, staring intently at it. "I think there is a fish nearby."

"I think you're right. I wonder which line it'll bite." Trowa was watching his own line just as intently. It was a good thing, too, as the end of his fishing pole bent as his line was pulled. He quickly reeled the fish in, dropping it in their bucket once it was out of the water.

Quatre had been watching his line when Trowa said, ready to start reeling it in on his own when Trowa's line bent and the fish began to pull at it. Quatre smiled, watching as Trowa reeled the fish in quickly and put it in their bucket.

"It was yours," he said with a smile.

Amira looked up smelling fish and mewed.

"I guess so." Trowa grinned and chuckled a little as he pulled out a knife to kill the fish. He cut the belly open and pulled out the guts so Amira could eat them if she wanted to.

Quatre turned back to fishing, not exactly wanting to watch that part of it. Hopefully, soon there would be another fish for the bucket.

Amira was very happy with the snack offering and began to eat it.

After a few moments-

"I think I got one!" And Quatre reeled in a fish of his own.

"Wow, I think that's even bigger than the one I caught." Trowa grinned, helping him put the fish in the bucket with water.

"I think so. It's a very nice fish," Quatre said with a smile as they put his fish in the bucket of water.

Trowa reached for the container of bait he'd grabbed from the train and pulled out a fresh worm. "Want me to get your hook baited for you again?"

"Sure, that would be wonderful." He smiled, looking down at Amira for a second, their tiny killer kitten attacking the snack that she had been given.

"So cute." Both kitten and Trowa, but he's not saying which.

Trowa deftly hooked the worm for Quatre before smiling at the blond. "There you go, you're ready to keep fishing."

"Great thanks."

He turned back to his fishing spot, glanced over his shoulder to make sure neither Trowa nor the kitten was close enough to potentially get hit by the hook before casting it again.

"This is nice."

"Once we have a few more, I can start a fire and we can have a nice dinner. I think it's even halal." He wasn't as well versed as he would like, but Trowa was reasonably sure that fish was compliant with the religious diet.

He smiled. "Yes, fish would be compliant. It will be nice. All of three of us will enjoy the fish."

"I didn't raid the kitchen for seasonings, so hopefully they'll be salty enough from the water." There was a faint blush on Trowa's cheeks as he kept an eye on Amira. She was bathing herself now that she'd eaten.

"I'm sure it will be wonderful." Because they were doing it together. He glanced over at Amira and smiled. "She's happy too."

Trowa leaned over Amira to kiss Quatre on the cheek, feeling and looking bashful for it. He didn't know why he felt bashful about it, it was hardly the first time he'd done that. But Quatre looked so happy, and it made Trowa's heart hurt in the best way.

Quatre smiled brightly as Trowa leaned over to kiss him, Amira just watching them curiously and meowing at them. Quatre picked up on that bashfulness from Trowa and reached over to take his hand.

Feeling Quatre's hand in his own, Trowa was sure he was positively glowing. He kept hold of the blond's hand until his fishing pole began to bob. "Looks like I have another fish."
