So Familiar a Gleam: Conclusion
Time to leave!
There is not much of the city left, but the park is holding together as those anchoring help those who are not voidtreckers through back to where they belong. Monsters continue to attack and a little further out there is a battle of hearts and minds being fought with the mass of colours and chaos.
Eventually, after the bulk of citizens had been evacuated everyone with SCA's on would hear Jin-Roh's voice after a few frantic beeps, as Chiff aligned everyone's SCA's. "We are almost done here, if you are with anyone not tethered to a voidcraft get them to the evacuation point, as quickly as possible."
Anan pulls out of the anchoring point to call out to any defenders in the park. "Come on! Anyone who isn't a voidtrecker! It's time to go."
Luckily those off fighting the entity headed the message and made their way to the park as Jin Roh spoke again.
"Everyone else get ready. When we call it you need to leave. If you don't have your SCA on then get to someone who does."
As the last people rushed to the park Anan calls out again, through her SCA and outloud to the park. "You need to unanchor, before you can evacuate. Everyone be ready."
She goes in again though, because there are some last people, those from the large battle, getting through as another message was called.
"Almost there. Be ready. On my command..."
Anan unanchored again. "Quick everyone unanchor."
"NOW" Jin Roh's voice came through strong on their SCA's. Hopefully those with SCA's would grab those without.
There is some outside help as well, the train pulls anyone who is unconscious or still under the entity's control, forcibly evacuating them. This includes Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji and Zagreus.
Luggage Carriage
There has been a mass evacuation before and that was crazy enough but since then the population of the train has almost doubled and now it is an extremely tight squeeze as everyone crashes into the luggage carriage at the same time.
The train jerks and rolls as they enter into the void at breakneck speed and again as they seem to slow, rather than speeding off though the void.
There's a crackling from their SCA's. "Voidtreckers? Voidtreckers come in!" Anan's voice. "Please tell me you made it..."
There's only a few moments of signal and soon they are flying though the void again, away from the strange non-world, the entity sealed for now. To new adventures, but first hopefully some time to recover from all that has happened.

Sorry about your wait! ;_;
The young blitzball star is definitely getting studied. Relative exhaustion aside, did Tidus just say he's basically running on an energy drink? He'll be getting back to you on that, young man.
"Hm, not surprising." Regarding the headache. No food or sleep? No sympathy!
"Of course. At the very least, a consolidation of the information everyone holds while it is still relatively fresh on their minds." Elidibus seems to be thinking of more than one matter at the moment, by the pondering expression he adopts though there's more than enough attention on the answer. "I know some where be unlikely to offer much because of their condition or involvement. But what we can obtain is vital." There is a pause. The other matter he'd been working on provides an answer. "Ah, yes."
Seemingly out of thin air, Elidibus plucks a wrapped packet and offers it to Tidus. Unwrapping it will reveal a few sugar cookies; one of the Ascian's
experimentspractices in cooking, then tucked away for later consumption. They will not be the best ever tasted, but since baking is often by the book measurements, they will be decent.So. Maybe a little sympathy.
it's okay!
There's not much he can do, but there's still a few people he cares about to check in on.
But what he doesn't expect to materialise - whether out of a pocket or from thin air - is what Elidibus brings out. Tidus blinks, asking, "What's this?" even as Elidibus offers it - and he does take it, since why not?, answering his own curiosity as he unwraps and see inside the flat biscuits. His brow raising momentarily in surprise, before Tidus looks at Elidibus, a brief uncertainty - "You're sure?" - before he'll then take two with an easy, "Thanks!"
But these can't all be for him, so he'll hold the biscuits back out, if not without a smile - one that's genuine, but no less playful.
"This your way of telling me I should get something in me and some rest? Okay, okay! I know when I'm not wanted." Joking, obviously, and still smiling. Taking a bite out of one biscuit, not afraid to talk with it in his mouth. "I'll keep an ear out for your get-together. I don't know anything special... I'm just hoping we don't have to deal with anything like that again for a looong while."
Please, a break from the illusions and all.
Re: it's okay!
The Ascian fixes Tidus with a calm look. "You can rest now or stay and help me. It's your choice and both options have benefits. If you rest now, you may then take over for me when I go to rest. If you stay, there are those you can comfort that my presence will not."
He's well aware of his stand-offish manner versus Tidus's more openly good-nature approach. He cares! And he's not arbitrarily dismissing Tidus' presence. Which is almost like saying he doesn't mind the youth at all! He turns to study his portal, checking on its stability which appears to be sound. After nodding in satisfaction, he then concludes.
"But an alchemical potion is only going to mend your wounds. It will not cure your fatigue or nourish you. That's probably cause for the headache." After another moment's quiet, he adds, "I plan to go prepare food in the kitchen for now. Simple things but... they should prove useful."
Maybe it's just another thing to be noted later, the passive indifference. The tasks he's doing certainly show he knows what needs to be done for 'care'. But does he feel the concern others harbor for their fellows... hard to say right now.
"I understand wanting to not deal with it again soon," Elidibus says quietly. Only Tidus and anyone immediately next to them would hear his words clearly. "Yet it was an attack from an outside force. And this train has its own agenda. Do whatever you must to help your allies. But don't trust we will have much time to recover before the next onslaught or the next half-hearted lesson."

A good place he'll likely hang around later.
For now though, he's listening to Elidibus. Understands what he's saying, and he's not unaware of what he means, proper rest versus relying on potions. He's a certain kind of guy for sure: the sensible-liking kind of guy. Thinks things through more than Tidus himself, probably, and you need guys like that around.
It's nice anyway, for the guy to consider him, whether it comes from a sensible place or caring. The biscuits are wrapped up carefully, sent away into his hammerspace for storage, but he still has the one out meant for himself.
"Well if it's cooking, I know a few things about it. If you need a hand, you can call me over - but if you want to a check-in-on-things guy, I can do that. See how we're all doing."
And then how rest fits into that, they can figure it out. But as long as they take it easy, they'll be fine. Tidus isn't desperate to play the exhausting himself game.
"We'll figure out about the big guy when we have the brain power for thinking about it. If we do end up in a mess like that again-" he brings out his hands, a sigh that's conceding. "Well, let's make some preparations. See what we've got that'll help."
no subject
Elidibus muses for a moment before answering. "I think the best course for you may be to begin looking into people's welfare. And not just those who are resting. I think the risk is greater that many are pushing themselves beyond their limits."
He offers a faint smile. "While this isn't always a bad thing, we can't afford to have everyone overtaxed."
But there's definitely no time like the present to get started. And the Ascian is not someone to stand around idly. "I will take the portal through to the dining room. It will remain open if you want to begin with the cabins then come fetch some of the food being prepared as it's needed."
