Let it Snow: Purple Start
"We are now approaching world#58291. Purple team to doors." As the last flurry of activity occurs the voice speaks again. "Warning: Exit from void in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." the usual jerk, shudder lurch as the colours from the window turn from the void to a white haze of snow.
The doors open for purple team to alight. It is a scramble down from the train, there is no platform here and the ground below them is a sheet of ice.
They seem to be in a town, ice below them, snow drifts piled high. They can see the mountains in the distance and high above the down there is what seems to be a giant ice block floating in the sky.
But for their more immediate attention there are snow creatures. Snowmen, oddly formed snow animals. Eight foot tall creatures made of ice. Some seem intent on throwing snowballs at cars and the buildings of the town but it is not long before the team are spotted and the creatures make their way to them.
This is their battleground. They may find things they can use as weapons in the town itself and their job is to ensure there is still a town when all of this is over. It’s going to be a hard and very cold few days.

The barriers are familiar, enough that he doesn't bother looking around for the source and instead takes advantage of the setup she's laid out for him. He's fast on his skates, and good enough with the hockey stick to smash snow beasts to powder.
When that group is clear, he spins himself in a tight circle, to see if he can spot Raven. He's surprised to see her so close to the ground, but offers her a flash of a grin in greeting. "Thanks! You line 'em up, I'll take 'em out," as if that hadn't been her plan from the beginning.
He turns around again, and keeps skating. There's another group, headed right for them.

If anything, the energy is a comfort -- anything is better than ice, except maybe electricity. He doesn't struggle against the force of it, but he does twist around to get his eyes on her. "How could you tell?" he asks with a huff of a laugh. "I just figured it was an easy way to get enough force to break its face."

With an occasional smashing of the monsters herself, from a giant fist or claw of dark-energy.

"Your form was terrible. Be glad I don't have score-signs." Let it not be said she can't snark back. "...a hint of panic under your shell didn't hurt in telling me either." She was an Empath after all. Bringing him away from the avalanche, safely on his feet. "You wanna try any more of those while I'm here to catch?"
[OOC--This one can be a shorter thread I think.]

He takes advantage of every opportunity she creates for him, smashing snow monsters with his hockey stick and when she makes ramps, he uses them to catch a little air, using his skates as weapons just as much as the stick or his metal fist.
It's possible, just maybe, that he can even be caught grinning as he smashes the last snow beast in this particular group and skids to a stop. "Moving fast never gets old," he says, breath forming little clouds as he looks over at her. "You need a break?"

He huffs out a chuckle at the scorecard comment, but it doesn't last. Knowing that she could feel his panic is uncomfortable to say the least. "Sorry. I'll try to keep it under control," as if he could. "Yeah. Let's see if I can at least get my score up to a five, huh?" He suggests, searching the roof-line for more of the big icy bastards.
[OoC: Sure! Just drop it whenever you think it's wrapped. I'm terrible at telling when that is.]

But she could keep going, or they could head elsewhere if needed. Nodding her head towards the hockey stick. "You used to play?"

"I'm an Empath--I didn't mean to pry." Raven offered in explanation. "Flight is harder than normal, in these conditions, but I could get you higher than a roof if you want." If he doesn't mind being tossed and caught like a ball, she's willing to help take down monsters this way.

Down Low He nods, and skates over to the door of the nearest house, giving it a try. It swings open easily, and he steps aside so she can get out of the wind while he puts the covers on his skate blades. No need to damage the carpet if he doesn't have to, after all. "I don't think so," he replies with a shrug. "But someone left a stick laying out, and I couldn't resist. I usually fight with guns."
Up Top Bucky doesn't even know what that means, but he assumes she has no control over it. "It's okay," even though it isn't. The idea that she could eavesdrop on his emotional state is unsettling -- mostly because he knows he can be prone to rather unpleasant ones. This fear of the ice is relatively mild, in the grand scheme of things. "It's more about momentum than height, but I'll make whatever you can get me work." He's used to improvising, and his metal fist is a pretty handy weapon.

Getting the out of the wind will help, as this weather is more brutal than normal. Once inside, the dark doesn't bother her and the cold is more tolerable when it's not being sliced through you via the wind. "My team mate, Cyborg, uses a sonic cannon. None of us use traditional guns though." More conversational than anything, as Bucky had been very effective with the hockey stick.

Her control kind of depends on how strong or pervasive the emotion is, and her own mood and state. She's tired, and his pulse of panic was pretty strong. Aside from what's been said already though, she won't say anything or mention it unless there's a need. "Which roof do you want to head to now?"
no subject
"A sonic cannon sounds like it could be pretty useful," and nonlethal, which wasn't something Bucky had an abundance of experience in. "How did he use it?" It's some nice small talk to keep things from getting too quiet as he closes the door behind them, letting himself get a full-body shiver out, and leaning the hockey stick on the wall, next to the door.
Up Top
Bucky eyes the ice golems, and points out a roof that should give him a good vantage point to drop in on another one. "Let's start there," knowing that she's there to prevent him from being totally covered in ice is definitely going to help him keep that panic in check, at least.
