Let it Snow: Purple Start
"We are now approaching world#58291. Purple team to doors." As the last flurry of activity occurs the voice speaks again. "Warning: Exit from void in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." the usual jerk, shudder lurch as the colours from the window turn from the void to a white haze of snow.
The doors open for purple team to alight. It is a scramble down from the train, there is no platform here and the ground below them is a sheet of ice.
They seem to be in a town, ice below them, snow drifts piled high. They can see the mountains in the distance and high above the down there is what seems to be a giant ice block floating in the sky.
But for their more immediate attention there are snow creatures. Snowmen, oddly formed snow animals. Eight foot tall creatures made of ice. Some seem intent on throwing snowballs at cars and the buildings of the town but it is not long before the team are spotted and the creatures make their way to them.
This is their battleground. They may find things they can use as weapons in the town itself and their job is to ensure there is still a town when all of this is over. It’s going to be a hard and very cold few days.

[ Honestly, suddenly being dropped into the middle of the battlefield - or ending up in one out of the blue - isn't something entirely new for Inigo. It's why he regains his senses pretty quickly, especially when he sees all the weird snow monsters over there. Even before he spots a snowball flying around, he knows those can't be good news. He's never seen ice monsters before, but he's definitely getting Risen flashbacks over here.
So if any purple team member still looks a little dazed or confused, or even just haven't moved yet since they were dropped here, they might find Inigo tugging on their arm. ]
Come on, no time to wait! Let's hurry and see if there's anything in those houses to deal with these things!
( b: fighting! )
[ After doing some looking through the houses - and pretty quick looking too, considering they don't seem to have much time with how quickly the creatures were approaching them - Inigo has managed to grab.. a spade.
Okay, it's not exactly the sword or even axe he's used to, but whatever! He can improvise!
And to Inigo's credit, he really is throwing himself into battle here. Despite the fact that some of these creatures are huge and other ferocious, the young man doesn't seem scared at all as he twirls around the spade and slams enemies with it as if it weighs nothing.
At one point you may hear: ]
Behind you!
[ And as you turn around, you can probably see that creature sneaking up on your back - but Inigo smashes it out of the way just in time. He smiles at you despite the cold, tough circumstances. ]
Geez, it's almost as if these things don't know how to.. cool down, am I right? [ That joke would have been either better or worse if Inigo actually knew modern slang and could say 'chill'.. ]

Running towards yet another group of ice creatures, he flips up into the air above them and shouts to get their attention. "Hey! Icy you're paying attention. But I think it's time to get this snow on the road!"
ota
Spider-Man is on the scene! He's adjusts his mask over his face and activates the heater-thank god his future self kept the heater- and zips up a thick coat before jumping into action. He lands in a thick snow drift right onto of someone's house so that was... not his plan.
"It's cool! I'm good! Sorry for the.. damage." He's back up on his feet and leaps into action, kicking through one of the ice beasts. "Man, I shoulda gone with Red team." He states as that was entirely to easy. "Their mission sounds way more cool, you know?" He asks one of the monsters and punches right through it. "Don't get me wrong you guys are pretty chill but-" He flips up and delivers another kick. "This is like kid stuff. Seriously, I'm embarrassed for you. All it takes is like one hit. You got a leader? I'd love snow him my moves." He groans at his own words before punching another creature back in to snow.
"Yeah, I know, that one was bad. I'm as ashamed as you are."
no subject
"Peter? I think the only damage you're doing is to your reputation right now." It absolutely was a joke. They hadn't interacted quite a lot so she could forgive him for mistaking it for being somewhat serious.
no subject
"Yeah, I know. I should have just let the pun go. It was bad and I definitely feel bad." He assures Ash as he flips up to another roof and then back down to beat up some more snow.
"You know, if someone had told me just last week I was going to be battling monsters made of snow I-well, actually I know myself and my life well enough to know that I would have definitely believed it-I mean traveling on a void train that I now live on? Snow monsters? Seems plausible." He yammers on as he shoots a web a monster getting too close.
"And really, like what's your plan here? Death to all humans? I hate to break it to you, but you're snow? The power might all be turned off but there are other means of creating heat? Also, you like even have teeth?" He lands near a monster about his size and grabs it by the mouth.

He'd never battled these kinds of creatures before though, and he was unsure how hitting them repeatedly was going to solve anything when they weren't made of flesh and blood, but he would do his best. At the very least, he could slow them down and stop them from doing more damage to the town.
Taking a few steps back, he bumped into someone and glanced over his shoulder. "My apologies," he said. "Also, get down." Turning, he swung his bat at an approaching snow creature, taking off its head and sending it rolling across the ground.
no subject
But he's used to battle, so the moment someone tells him to get down, he does. Especially since he already has an inkling as to exactly why he's being told to get down. The head rolling across the ground next to him confirms his hunch, and he lets out a breath as he stands up again.
"Thanks." Whether it's for taking care of the creature or for not taking his head off is anyone's guess.. "Are you doing okay so far?"
no subject
He glanced at Inigo, then nodded, looking around to make sure nothing else was trying to sneak up on them. "I am," he said. "I've encountered worse odds. ...Though usually from the air." On a dragon, where the odds had been much more in his favor.

Bucky Barnes | OTA
The monsters had spotted them, and the first wave was approaching. Bucky hasn't had the chance to scavenge for a weapon yet, but he doesn't hesitate to face the snow creatures head-on. He starts towards them, his pace slow and steady, unwavering as the distance between him and danger quickly dwindles.
Fighting Down Low | OTA
Bucky had found a hockey stick just lying up against a garage. He prefers a sniper rifle, but this will do in a pinch. Especially since he had switched his boots out for ice skates. He's fast on them, whipping past monsters and using the stick to take their legs out, leaving them rolling around angrily on the ground in his wake.
Fighting Up Top | OTA
The ice golems are a lot more of a pain in the ass than the snow beasts, and Bucky's gone and had himself a great idea. A ladder gets him to the roof of a house. It's the perfect vantage point for him to slide down, use the momentum to launch himself into an arc that ends with his elbow cracking open the skull of a golem. It's a nice move, and stops the creature in its tracks, but he didn't think the whole thing through, and now the golem is crumbling, and he's going down in a tiny ice avalanche. He's gonna need some backup, or at least someone to help dig him out because his reaction to being buried in ice is not, shall we say, particularly dignified.
Ice Town Escort Service | Open to Blue Team
Bucky doesn't know it, but he's close to the entrance to the tunnels. When he sees a blue coat, he jogs over, baseball bat slung over his shoulder, scarf down around his chin, and nose bright pink from the cold. "There are a lot of hostiles on the field, let me cover your six," he doesn't bother to introduce himself -- he's too busy making sure the coast is still clear. "The big ice things'll leave us alone if we stay clear, but the snow things will come at anything that moves."
fighting up top
Whatever happened just there sure didn't look good, so Inigo quickly moves over. The fact he chose to fight with a spade sure is helping him extra now, since it makes it so much easier to move these pieces of ice out of the way quickly before more creatures head this way.
"Hey, are you alright?!"
no subject
He gasps loudly when his face is uncovered, grimacing a little. "Yeah, yeah, I am now, I think. I hate ice," he grumps. He wiggles his metal arm, trying to get it up and out as much as he can, but it's surprisingly slow-going.

blue team escort
Ah, yes, that's one of the new addition to the train. Not that Cú knows his name, but he knows him from a rather specific detail that makes him distinct to everyone else—
"Sure thing." Cú nods in agreement and throws a large bag on his back. The weight doesn't bother him, but the size of the package hinders his movement. Having someone else help as the escort is going to be a tremendous help. "Let's go Airgetlám"

She could have been a figure skater, with how she was flipping to do her trick shots and whatnot. She was almost having fun with it. She eventually skated past Bucky as she was reloading, calling out to him almost cheerily.
"You're quite the skater!"

Working with others is something that Ignis is used to, so he has no problem with listening to the new intel considering he's been in the darkened tunnels with townspeople, food and fire. And since Namine isn't here to help control whatever these menaces are, Ignis is going to have to be a lot more cautious with creatures he's had no interactions with.

Fighting (Down Low and Up Top, different points)
Certain to keep herself out of Bucky's way, and bringing up walls or obstructions of dark-energy to trip up and trap monsters. He is handling himself fairly well though, so Raven's focusing on making his task easier.
[Up Top]
Hopefully he won't panic as dark-energy wraps around him, pulling him away from the crumbling golem. Raven is hovering at roof-height, trying to get as high a view as she safely could of where to go next. "Not a diver, are you?"

He's standing up on a roof, bundled in a plethora of coats when he sees Bucky eat it in a tiny avalanche. Have no fear though, Mr Barnes, sir! Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be right there! Peter acts fast, jumping up and firing his webs towards Bucky but he's too cold and he finally starting to shiver so he accidentally releases the web strand he'd shot out to catch Bucky.
Uh... whoops?
He fires another web, hoping for better luck this time.

Ash lined up with the rest of the group as the train warned the exit from the void. She was dressed up as warmly as the train would allow, even going so far as to lay her ears back and wrap her head up in a warm looking scarf and pulling the hood of her coat up. She looked quite toasty.
As Ash stepped out of the train and drew her gun it became clear that this was exactly what she was used to. She was off fighting snow creatures before anyone could blink, her footing sure as she flipped and tumbled her way through the city fighting the snow and ice monsters. It isn't long before her gun is glowing with heat and she seems about ready to do something either incredibly powerful or incredibly stupid.
"Seems like these guys need a little heat in their lives, wouldn't you say?"
Scavenging
She doesn't like to steal, but in this case anything that can burn for a while and not let a flame go out is prime material to fight with. Those fighting may see her move from house to house and going inside those that are unlocked and wonder what exactly she's doing.
scavenging ofc~
He crept towards the stairs in a low crouch and making as little noise as possible. He was surprisingly quiet. Then again, he was a sneak thief not a common burglar.
He peered down at the room below and caught sight of a purple clad person. So it was a train passenger at least. Garrett relaxed a little. But he didn't recognize this person specifically and honestly he hadn't gotten to know many people yet anyway. Wasn't really his forte. He shifted thoughtfully were he was and considered whether to announce himself or not.
OTA
Cal Kestis wasn't, by nature, clumsy. He was actually pretty graceful and capable, and knew how to move without crashing into stuff. But today, the universe was conspiring against the Jedi Knight and when he jumped out of the train, he hit a bad patch of ice.
A rough patch. One that was deceptive and had him thinking he'd land just fine.
He doesn't. Not entirely. He slips and slides a bit, coming incredibly close to falling and then steadies himself, hands out and knees bent some to maintain balance.
Beedee lands on his shoulder a moment later, almost knocking Cal over, the droid hunching and beeping apologetically.
"Yep. Just like Ilum. Be careful, Beedee."
[Fighting: ]
This was more like it. Kind of. He was at least used to this kind of thing. He'd spent so long training as a Padawan, and the last few weeks before arriving here had been spent fighting Storm Troopers and other such Imperial nuisances, not to mention the variety of creatures out to get him on the various planets he went to.
Needless to say, Cal Kestis had plenty of tricks up his sleeve.
Lacking his lightsaber, Cal still made due with what was around. He used the Force on some of the smaller monsters, shoving them into each other to shatter them or putting them in a type of slowed state to give people time to get away before he used what was nearby to further create problems for the monsters.
It's when he spots one of his teammates, unaware of a monster nearby that Cal speed-runs to put himself between a teammate and trouble, Force shoving a small set of creatures away, shattering them entirely.
To his teammate, he has a question. "You good?" roughly about the same time as Beedee beeps out the same question in his own language.
Fighting
“Yeah, thanks,” he replies, as he shakes what looks like a snow badger off his metal arm and kicks it into dust. It frees him up enough he can dispatch the other two with ease. “That’s a neat parlor trick,” he flashes says, slightly breathless as he leans over to retrieve the hockey stick he’d dropped, giving it a couple of swings to make sure it’s not broken.

Arrival
"My apologies, it's a bit of a habit. The guys from home sometimes didn't see patches of ice. Is Ilum where you're from?"
Re: Arrival
OTA
Raven had planned for the cold, and with her half-heritage (and experience as a superhero) was more durable than a plain human. But this was cold and it was an unpleasant shock. The scramble isn't helping, and while it's hard to fly--Raven will keep herself levitated enough to help her team-mates and avoid the ice as much as she can. Leaving valuable stuff back on the train in her room, she has her backpack with some extra medical supplies and rations in it in a water-proof cover with her.
This is not going to be a fun mission.
[Ground/Town]
Barriers were something Raven could do; dark energy forming as solid as she can make it to herd or corral snow monsters. Either so she could get rid of them or one of her team-mates. Raven was also placing herself and dark-energy barriers between the monsters and any townsfolk. Without being able to fly though, she doesn't have as good a view of the battlefield as she'd like, and definitely would appreciate help from others.
