All battles come to an end. Professor Chill and his henchpeople is defeated, the ice giant slain by the brave heroes of purple team. The townspeople led out of the tunnels and due to some extraordinary pun-hacking skills by Kaito the weather machine is de-powered.

Being a magical snowstorm the shutting down of the weather machine causes it to vanish, snow begins to melt and then evaporates into the air before it can become a larger problem in terms of a flood. The temperatures rise, going from dangerously cold to a warm spring day, warm enough that the voidtreckers will soon be too warm all bundled up as they are. The clouds disappear, the sun shines. Within a short period of time the streets are dry, the mountainsides are green and the trees are bright with flowers.

The streets are still a mess, property is damaged and the clean up operation is going to be intense but it doesn't look like there is any lasting ecological damage at least.

The ice labyrinth vanishes and those inside it will find themselves suddenly standing in the field below. For red team, the journey to the top of the mountain took four days in the blizzard but with the weather clear and going downhill they will reach the valley by the end of day eleven.

The army has arrived and mostly taken over gathering the injured and dealing with the more serious damage but there is plenty to do for those who still wish to help. Houses need put back to rights, streets and paths need sweeping of debris.

Help out, find your friends, swap stories. Celebrate a job well done.

Towards mid afternoon of day twelve a beeping from their SCA's should draw everyone's attention. The map leads them to a place just out of sight from the town and there is the Voidtrecker Express. It is time to leave.

"I don't really know sir but it's something to do with her magic and memories." And it sounded kind of bad but Namine was such a nice person he was sure she wouldn't actually do anything bad!

"So she made it think it was her friend and it was. So it didn't try and eat us."

"Huh, I'll have to ask her about that. Ignis made a good decision bringing her along with the blue team then. Glad you made it alright. Did anyone on the blue team get hurt?" He asked.

He looked around before looking back at Romeo. "Have you checked in with your goddess and Joss yet?"

"No. Everyone is alright!"

He grinned, he was glad they had managed to make sure no one got hurt!

He shook his head. "I've been looking for them but I haven't found them yet... I hope they are alright. Elfnein can find me really easy so I hope I'll see her soon!"

"Good work kid." He ruffled Romeo's hair. He knew the Lans and Ignis and some of the others built more for fighting might be more responsible for no one getting hurt than the child, but he was sure he'd helped as much as he could.

"Alright, I'll keep looking for Joss. Didn't he say this month was his birthday before we left the train?"

He smiled as his hair was ruffled and grinned at Tony. "He did! I didn't it was his birthday but I think he forgot when he was a shinki but now he remembers. He will have missed his last one because it was when we were in heaven so we need to make sure this one is extra special!"

He guesses so. He's not too sure on time. At all. It has maybe been a year since he arrived in heaven and Joss arrived after Romeo did. He knows birthdays are once a year. Either way it is important they do something special for Joss!

Tony laughs, finding the kid just too cute to handle.

"Yeah, we should. We can make a surprise party. Did you ever have those? You distract the guest of honor and make a party without telling them, then make some kind of excuse for them to join- then everyone jumps out and says 'surprise'. It's a fun way to do birthdays where I'm from. I bet you'd be really good at that. We could make a cake and some other snacks and some music."

"A surprise party?" He shook his head, "I never been to a surprise party before!"

You make a party without telling the person it was for and everyone jumped out? That sounded a lot of fun! Cake and snacks and music also sounded very fun!

"Yes we should do that! I bet Joss would be very surprised!"

Tony was very pleased the kid looked happy about the idea. "Would you be willing to help us keep Joss busy that day till we're ready for him at the party? You could get him to play some games with you."

He didn't want Romeo to miss out on saying 'surprise' though. They'd have to find out just the right way to do this. "Now let's talk presents. Do you think he'd like anything from the gift shop?"

"I can keep him busy!" Romeo nodded, he was sure he could find a way and Elfnein would help if he asked her, he was sure of it!

"Um... I think so! He likes books but really long complicated ones with lots of big words in them!" He had never laughed at Romeo for still being on picture books though, Joss was a very good friend when it came to Romeo learning to read.

"I bet if we look through what we can buy there will be something fun for him!"

"Excellent. I'll handle getting the rest of it set up. You can help with the cake though. We can make that ahead of time and then hide it till party time." It would be fun to help the kid make a cake for his best friend. He knew Ignis had done a lot of cooking with the kids when they had access to pumpkins, so this was his turn.

He ruffled the kid's hair and nodded for Romeo to follow him toward the stores. "We'll see what we can find. Maybe if we find something we can pay for it with repairs." This place looked like it had been in a food processor, so it wouldn't be hard to find chores to do if the store owners were willing.

"That's a good idea sir! I bet they will let us have some things if we work really hard for them!"

He was excited, this was going to be the best surprise party ever!
