Day Twelve, Conclusion

All battles come to an end. Professor Chill and his henchpeople is defeated, the ice giant slain by the brave heroes of purple team. The townspeople led out of the tunnels and due to some extraordinary pun-hacking skills by Kaito the weather machine is de-powered.

Being a magical snowstorm the shutting down of the weather machine causes it to vanish, snow begins to melt and then evaporates into the air before it can become a larger problem in terms of a flood. The temperatures rise, going from dangerously cold to a warm spring day, warm enough that the voidtreckers will soon be too warm all bundled up as they are. The clouds disappear, the sun shines. Within a short period of time the streets are dry, the mountainsides are green and the trees are bright with flowers.

The streets are still a mess, property is damaged and the clean up operation is going to be intense but it doesn't look like there is any lasting ecological damage at least.

The ice labyrinth vanishes and those inside it will find themselves suddenly standing in the field below. For red team, the journey to the top of the mountain took four days in the blizzard but with the weather clear and going downhill they will reach the valley by the end of day eleven.

The army has arrived and mostly taken over gathering the injured and dealing with the more serious damage but there is plenty to do for those who still wish to help. Houses need put back to rights, streets and paths need sweeping of debris.

Help out, find your friends, swap stories. Celebrate a job well done.

Towards mid afternoon of day twelve a beeping from their SCA's should draw everyone's attention. The map leads them to a place just out of sight from the town and there is the Voidtrecker Express. It is time to leave.

The Doctor's making his way back from the maze, pausing here and there to check on the life of the plants to make sure they weren't going to go into shock. So far, they all seemed okay. That was some maze.

He spots one of his fellow voidtreckers and moves over to them, an easy smile and casual air about him.

"Well, seems all's well that ends well, eh?"

"I'll agree with that!" answers Curufin. "It didn't end the way I expected it to. I thought I was going to have to smash the machine, but instead, Kaito hacked it." His grins says he's terrifically amused by this. "And then I had no idea how we were going to get down from that aerial labyrinth, but it seems the shutdown process somehow involved teleporting us to the surface of the earth. Although I guess you'd have a better idea than I would of what technology made that possible."

"Glad someone did. I got a bit turned around in there-machine must have been messing with the signals to my screw driver." He grumbles at the idea. He could have shut the machine down if he hadn't gotten lost.

"Still, always nice to see the sun again. And, it doesn't looks as though the climate is too shook up by the frost."

"I wouldn't put it past that Dr. Chill to program his machine to mess with outside devices. Although I wonder where he got the knowledge to mess with a futuristic device like your sonic screwdriver?"

He looks around at the green landscape and smiles. "I'm glad to see the sun again, too. And I think it's a good thing the climate problem is solved now, because I don't know how long the planet could have sustained its environment if such a winter had lasted a long time."

"Oh, who knows." The Doctor just shrugs it off like it doesn't bother him even if it secretly does. "Probably alien tech-aliens are all the time sneaking onto the earth to try and make a deal with the humans-why should it be different in other universes? See, ordinarily don't care much about that but sometimes the deal ends up causing a lot of problems and I have to step in." He rambles off.

"I did know a bloke in New York though-he made the best cheese burger you'll ever have in your life. It's quite a time travel hot spot. Species from all over go there for a taste of those burgers. I've been a number of times."

"Hmm, sounds as though you are used to being the rescuer when alien races try to mess up the planets you are concerned with."

He likes it when the Doctor rambles. New information is often the result.

"That restaurant must have been an interesting place to eat! Aliens from everywhere! I suppose a good cheeseburger would be a natural goal for all species." Smile. "New York must be used to seeing strange species dining at that place."
