Memory Cave

After the passengers see a glimpse of a life that is not their own they appear in a cave. It is light, a strange moss glowing on the walls and ceiling illuminates the cave nicely and it is large enough for them to pace around in without trouble.

They are not alone. In the cave with them is another voidtrecker. Maybe someone they know well, maybe someone they have only seen in the aisles of the train. But they are together in this cave together.

The cave has no exit, at least not yet. They know that it will, eventually. When the time is right.

But for that time to come, they first must talk...

"I don't know why you saw that," Xander says as his breath hitches. Not that there weren't plenty of bad memories that he had, but this had to be one of the worst. Events afterward had it not stay entirely bad? But it still ranked up there. The rest hadn't been bad. Why was this the grand finale?

"And I can explain, if you want." Though Xander was...pretty aware that some people might not want that kind of explanation. Artepus wasn't the most peaceful of places, but for the most part, despite his scars? It wasn't trouble he'd found himself in that made those scars...

"That boy...he must have been someone really important to you, huh?" Surely it was an understatement with the overwhelming emotions that Romeo's feeling, but Xander has felt this before from so many people. People he cares about. Romeo's just joined the ranks. The nephilim isn't trying to be pushy, but if he can at all help Romeo's thoughts fall in line so he can talk instead of sob, it will be all to the good.

Not that Xander wants him to stop feeling at all. It's a big swirl of emotions, to be sure, but it's all things that Romeo needs to work through. So that's okay. Even he's still teary-eyed, but he's drawn back from sobbing for now.

He nodded into his chest, he doesn't want to think that Xander would do a bad thing and it was scary to think about. But if Xander could explain... Maybe there had been a reason for him doinng that.

He just nodded at the second question. But stays quiet for now, his sobs have lessened a bit though tears are still coming. He tilts his head up though so he can listen to Xander.

He will tell him, but he needs to think first and he wants to hear what Xander has to say and all his feelings are all muddled up, it's scary and sad all at the same time.
