Memory Cave

After the passengers see a glimpse of a life that is not their own they appear in a cave. It is light, a strange moss glowing on the walls and ceiling illuminates the cave nicely and it is large enough for them to pace around in without trouble.

They are not alone. In the cave with them is another voidtrecker. Maybe someone they know well, maybe someone they have only seen in the aisles of the train. But they are together in this cave together.

The cave has no exit, at least not yet. They know that it will, eventually. When the time is right.

But for that time to come, they first must talk...

"Totally embarrassing," she grumbles. "We ended up okay for the most part, though I was completely covered in mud by the time he finally got us back to the mansion."

She'd definitely kicked his tail a bit after that.

His question sobers her mood a little bit, and she takes a moment to recall what she had seen. "You and Captain America - no, Steve - were in a bar, and he was asking you to join the crew he was gathering together during World War II. It was...just after he'd rescued you and everything."

"At least he had you there to look out for him. I can't imagine having something like that happen to me," Bucky grinned a little.

When she tells him what she saw, he lets out a breath in a long sigh. "Good," he replied, smiling wryly. "At least that one's just... sad," and not actually traumatizing. He had plenty of memories that he wouldn't want anyone else to have to live through. "I was healthy enough they weren't going to send me home anyway, I figured better to fight next to my best friend," his smile didn't have a whole lot of warmth in it, though.

"I definitely made him do my laundry after that day." She wasn't sure how long it took him to get the mud stains out from her pajamas, but it was the least he could do.

She couldn't help frowning a little as she thought back on his memory. "Still, to go back to fighting so soon after that..." She hadn't gotten any memories of the actual torture, but she'd certainly felt his hesitance and reluctance following it.
