"Do we want to take a boat out or fish from one of the deeper pools? I think there are some close by." And Trowa knew he could tie a little strip of purple cloth around Amira's neck to make her easier to find.

"Let's try one of the pools first. See what we can find. We have plenty of time that we could always take a boat out later."

"Sounds like a plan." Pulling away, Trowa got back to his feet and picked up the fishing gear. "I have some knives in the tent wrapped up by the head of the bedroll. Could you grab two so we can gut the fish with them?"

"Of course." Quatre carefully tucked the small cat into the pocket of his hoodie before moving to pick up the knives, holding them carefully away from anywhere the cat was... or himself.

Amira simply mewed from inside her new cave.

Trowa couldn't help laughing at Amira when he saw her. "Someone looks happy with her hiding spot." She was adorable, and so was Quatre.

"She does," Quatre said with a smile. "I guess that makes it so much easier that she is." Otherwise, they'd have to come up with more options.

Leading the way to the closest fishing pools, Trowa chuckled a little. "Maybe I should get her a harness and lead at the next platform."

Quatre followed only a few steps behind Trowa, making sure to keep one hand near his pocket in case Amira poked her head out or decided that she wanted out of the pocket.

"I think that would be good. She's so small. It's too each to lose her."

"Should we ask the Spider to make her something high-viz?" Would it ruin Amira's stealth? Absolutely. But Trowa was more concerned about making sure the kitten didn't get lost. And it wasn't as though she had to hunt for food on the train.

"Oh, that's certainly an idea! It would make her easier to find."

He knew it would mess up her stealth, but on the train, it wasn't really that important. It was for the best that she couldn't sneak around.

"I'll talk to Miss Spider after we go back into the void to see about getting something for Amira." Setting their gear down at the pool, Trowa started to unpack the hooks and get them on the lines with bait.

"I'm sure she will love it," Quatre said. "Right, Amira?"

There was a muffled mew from inside his hoodie. Such an adorable cat.

Quatre came over to start helping, always careful of the cat in his hoodie.

Once the first pole was ready, Trowa handed it to Quatre. "Here's your fishing rod. And if Amira doesn't like it, I'm sure she'll let us know." Likely with scratches all over his hands.

Quatre took the pole from him. "Thanks. Yeah, I'm sure she will."

Almost at that moment, she squirmed in his hoodie, like trying to find the exit. Quatre put his hand in the pocket and helped her out. As he set her down, she flopped down in the warm sand, lounging.

"Well, I think it worked out for all of us."

When Amira was brought out of Quatre's hoodie, Trowa did worry for a moment about her getting into trouble. But she just flopped in the sand. Chuckling, Trowa got his own pole ready. "Trust a cat to be a cat. Sunbathing here must feel better than even basking next to Glorfindel when he's glowing."

Quatre laughed at that. "A cat will be a cat, no matter the size." Besides, she probably knew where her food came from so there was little incentive to wander off on her own when the two people would feed her whenever she was hungry.

"We'll keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't wander off anywhere."

"Yeah, she seems happy right here." Reaching down, Trowa stroked Amira's belly before focusing on his fishing line.

"She does."

The tiny cat purred at being pet before going back to sleep on the warm sand as Trowa turned back to his fishing line. Quatre finished up with his, baiting it and casting the line into the water.

The pool was large enough that their lines were not going to cross, so Trowa just relaxed. "I'm glad we're here after having been underground a few weeks ago." The open air was wonderful.

Quatre relaxed as well, half-watching his line to see when something took it and half-watching Trowa and Amira. This was nice. Very much like a vacation for him. He got so few of those even with all of his money.

"I'm glad too. It feels so crowded on the train. And then everything with those monsters."

Quatre had gone with orange. Probably one of the few to not be underground.

There was a shudder Trowa couldn't suppress at the reminder of their latest mission. "I think I'm going to be opting out of anything remotely underground for a while."

"Sounds like a plan to me. I've heard that it wasn't exactly very pleasant. If only we had so much control over the missions that we had to take."

"I'm just glad I remembered the evac button on the SCA." Even if he'd been beaten up pretty badly, and was still sore in areas from the scrapes and bruises he'd acquired, it was better than having to see a heart next to his name in the roster.

"Yes, I am glad that you remembered about it. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." It had been bad enough, but being scraped up was better than having died.

"A few more days and I think the last of the bruises will be gone." Trowa's line bobbed a little, but not enough for him to think he had a bite yet.
