Not with a Bang: Finale
It's been a strange few days, between trying to complete all of the tasks needed to stabilise the solar stations and keep the shield going, keep the pandas and armadillos away and fix robots whilst smashing other robots. That's not even counting the strange events that kept happening.
They might have heard the news from those who had found themselves on a small adventure of their own that there were potentially dangerous saboteurs on the planet and indeed once they were aware there were more signs, things moved, pandas far more frightened than they should have been, robots back in areas that had been cleared.
But no sign of the saboteurs themselves as the days go on. Until the evening of the twelfth day of Imagination, the sixth day of the mission.
Everyone's SCA alerts them to an exclamation mark, the Western Control Station, where red and blue had initially went to initialise shields. Clicking on the exclamation mark will show the message. Danger: Control Station unstable. Attempt stabilisation. Situation critical.
A few seconds later there is another exclamation mark, this time on a solar station about an hours walk to the south. A herd of Violet Pandas are loose in Solar station #13, clear the station and minimise damage.
And a few moments after that there is a third exclamation mark, right where they are in the camp. Robot activity approaching. Any red team members who check will see many red rots approaching their camp.
Control Station
For those that decide to tackle this one it is clear the moment they arrive that things are not as they should be. A tree has fallen, or been felled and though it seems the station is designed to withstand falling trees it makes getting into it difficult.
Every alarm is blaring, and indeed when they get inisde their own alarms on their SCA start to flash amber. It's dangerous in here!
Something they will quickly have learned anyways. It looks like someone pressed every button, flicked every switch. Every guage is showing too high, every warning light is flashing.
It's going to take some very quick fixing before this place overloads and explodes. Hopefully their work on the stations in the last few days has taught them enough that with some very quick and diligent work they should get the situation under control.
Solar Station #13
To the south in one of the solar stations a very different situation is unfolding. Those that arrive here will find pandas... everywhere. Somehow they have gotten into the station itself and are busy chewing on wires, exploring machines they really shouldn't be exploring. Some are trying to climb the solar tower and others are just lying on the monitors, seemingly enjoying the lights.
Luckily it seems less damage can be done to the solar stations than a control station, but still, there are alarms and flashing lights and far too many pandas. It will be some work to clear them all out.
Base Camp
It doesn't take long for the robots to arrive. There are a lot, some seem very patched together, as if someone had gone around scavenging parts and remaking them. Some are large terraforming machines, others the smaller security drones. Some are even the automatons that were used for maintenance, yet here they were being put to another purpose.
As they approach the permitted of the camp they stop and six human figures step forward. All are armed with large rifle type weapons and a tall woman speaks in a loud, clear voice.
"You are trespassing on our land. You will leave this place or you will die."
She casually waves the robots forward, they attack.

(OOC: For this part please all reply in one single thread. Each round will be marked by an NPC tag and then each character may tag once before the next round begins. If you are late joining or miss a round don’t worry! Just tag into the most recent round and either assume your character was always there or got caught up with robots!)

It didn't make one lick of difference that he was injured from engaging robots before, he was close enough to that control station that he took the crticial message as a suggestion he should go and deal with that.
He was honestly hoping not to end up in another combat situation, especially when he saw the toppled tree.
Senku entered and his SCA began beeping incessantly to warn him of danger. He was taking a brief, but long look around.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Not only were there alarms everywhere but the one on the SCA wasn't in time to the rest of it.
"I got it." He growled and ripped the SCA off his wrist. He would glance at whoever came in. "If you can't help fix this, take this and keep watch for whoever caused this." He held out the SCA.
If they knew how to help, he'd stuff it in his pocket to try and muffle the sound, how was he supposed to fix anything with all that racket?
Senku dove for the control panel and started the process of stopping each thing he came across.
[OOC: Senku is now without translation, but if your character speaks Japanese, English or Russian, they're in business. Otherwise, well that's going to get interesting.]
no subject
His eyes went wide. "Senku-"
But apparently, whatever the SCA was protecting him from, it wasn't this planet. Not immediately. He made an exasperated sound. "You tell me what I need to press, and I'll do my best."
Fortunately, they both were fluent in English and Japanese. If Senku started cursing in Russian, Gen would be out of luck. "For all we know, this place is what the SCA was warning us about, and, well. We've got to be here."
He rolled up his sleeves and leaned in.

Kaiba looked a little alarmed at the sight of the abandoned SCA. Luckily, he could both speak Japanese and do some work.
"You know this has to be the worst time to take that off, right?"
But he wasn't wasting any time either. He raced over to one of the panels, untangling the damage with practiced hands as he spoke.

He props a crystalline looking staff that reflects almost iridescent in the light up against the wall and kneels down, popping a panel open. “I got down here. I have some spare wires in my pocket. Bot buddy should know where the other repair tools are.”
Sure enough the drone comes toddling back as fast as it can with two toolkits. It drops them down and looks expectantly for orders. Galo pauses long enough to go, “Direct both of us where you need us. Pain in the ass they messed it up this way!”

That was one problem they didn't have to worry about it. The rest of the problems were noise, and imminent death, which Ple Two hoped to help him avert. "I'll be working on the next one over," she added as worked on figuring out what the different switches, buttons, and gauges might mean. "Tch."

But she also wasn't about to let a physically incapable and injured Genku run in unaided. As she trailed behind, her attention focused down the halls for any signs of the robots that were giving people trouble. Nothing in sight, but everything screaming put her on edge.
And then it happened. Eight stared at his SCA now in her hands and blanched. "Wait, what are you doing?" But instead of any discernible language, what instead comes out sounds something like drowning seagulls.
Things were definitely about to get interesting...

Purple Pandamonium (Solar Station #13) | OTA
He supposed that left... well, pandas.
Sure, why not.
Upon arrival at Solar Station 13, the priest started trying to shoo the violet animals away from all the important bits, with mixed success. He started a tiny migration away from one panel, only to find himself being climbed up on from behind. One of the pandas was even chewing on his braid.
This wasn't going quite as well as he'd hoped!
no subject
For a moment, just one, Natsuno stared.
Koumyou was there which was completely not at all awkward with how they left things and he reached down to pluck one of the fluffy animals off the ground.
"Let's get them out of here." He told him, stepping back outside to do just that.

This situation seemed almost impossible to solve, he's spent a good chunk of the last week trying to get these pandas to move along and now they were inside this station and seemed to have no desire to leave.
But he had noticed the man who seemed to be being chewed on by a panda and paused, looking at him in worry.

Still, there's a lot of robots and she has no special powers, only blunt force as she whacks a security drone away with a branch. The dry wood splinters on impact, leaving Masumi with a broken stick that she tosses aside out of frustration and panic.
She would really appreciate backup right now.]

For those three days after his message, Kaiba spends every waking moment on edge. He fixes stations and repairs robots at an even faster pace than before, determined not to let up for a second. Because when he does...he sees things that he won't forget any time soon.
Kaiba ensures that there's a continuous watch, and takes turns at it...so he spends a few hours each night on the perimeter, poised to pounce on any intruders. Maybe he's whirling on you? But he soon realizes his mistake, shaking his head.
"---oh. Right. Were you taking a turn, or just taking a walk?"
control station
Finally, the world miners arrive. Kaiba grits his teeth and clenches his fists---he'd love to give them a piece of his mind for what they'd done. But he's not properly equipped for that battle, and he knows his abilities are better used elsewhere.
Once he arrives at the power station, he's a whirlwind. Wires are fixed, buttons are pressed, everything in a complex sequence so intricate he's definitely in a Zone. No time to worry, no time to think, only time to work---so if he sees a shadow in his peripheral vision he doesn't even look before issuing directions.
"Teal panel. The switches should be up-down in a 3-1-2 pattern, the buttons below them the opposite, and the gear turned clockwise 3 times. We have 3 more rooms to clear."
control station
So when Kaiba starts barking orders, she's immediately swinging into action- Teal panel, switches, buttons, gear-]
Done. I- I think I did it right. What's next?
[She's nervous. She's a confident person, normally, but... Well, the world itself is riding on this. A little nervousness is to be expected, right?]

b. weather damage; It's a fight as soon as the robots arrive. Sentry bots raising arms and shooting lasers as they find targets to fire upon, and the ground bursts with each shot that makes contact.
They've been waiting for this, but Tidus still curses under his breath as they arrive. There's those that follow the six humans, the rest coming for the camp. Tents closer to the edges are being torn apart, and Tidus is wielding his sword, slashing down at one of the sentries, barely ducking at a fire being shot at him.
"We gotta stop them here!"
Not everyone around was a combatant--!
c. bigger punchesAs if things couldn't get crazier. The moon coming out, the sun still about -- and now they were dealing with a storm on top of it. The only upside is that the sentry's weren't all firing with the best precision, but neither were they; and a wild shot thrown is still one that can catch. One does, striking Tidus on the arm, making him kneel in instinct and pain as he doesn't know where it came from.
Is the sentry nearby? Is it coming for him...
( ooc: feel free to tag-team with Tidus into prompts, stop him from getting shot at or hit, etc. it's a free for all, yeehawww. let's bash stuff and look cool doing it. )The terraforming robots need more than one person, no matter their talents. One with bladed rolled 'hands' spins and punches them out towards Tidus, the one he's caught the attention of sluggish, but heavy-armoured and still with the same lasers as everything else firing. Tidus backflips out of the way, calling thunder to stun it, if just temporarily.
What was this thing even for? Rolling up land and sowing!? Who knows -- but the damn thing's attacking, and all Tidus wants to see it do now is turn into scrap metal!
A. I mean...no promises on either of them not getting hurt

There were so many pandas. They were everywhere, climbing all over the everything, as though whatever the blue team did to gather them was co-opted so they could be let loose in one spot.
Natsuno did what he thought was reasonable and tried to scoop one up. It seemed to glomp onto him while another went for his legs. He took one step and nearly toppled gracelessly onto his back.
A little help maybe?
Base Camp
After dealing with the pandas, he's late to the party, but maybe not as late as expected and he's coming in full speed. He hadn't ever seen the need before to lean into the full scope of his powers before but here he was, running much faster than any human could ever hope for, jumping and flying over obstacles, his eyes completely red and an aura that's completely menacing.
It should be. The first robot he comes across and leaps onto, its head gets torn off in one shot.
There was not much human in his movements now, and later he was probably going to feel rather embarrassed about that.
His next target was the arms. All of his efforts to learn hadn't gone anywhere, so leaning into his instincts and being somewhat out of control was the only thing he could offer to the fight.
"Look out!" He called at the nearest person, his speech a bit slurred, and were those fangs peeking out from behind his teeth?
pandas!
"Come on! You can't just jump on people like that!"
The panda paid his words no heed and flopped on him again, Romeo was soon lost under panda fur.

He'll speak when needed, but for the most part he is on the move. Even without being able to work this station from the digital inside, he is faster in here than he has been in the jungle.
And, of course, in the rooms where he cannot find the source of the noise, he is able to emit the proper antiphase waves to provide a stopgap of piece and quiet.
It's nice to have speakers, sometimes.

She has a knife and a sturdy stick and is ready with everyone else to defend the camp. As it is she is on the opposite side of the clearing than the five humans that arrive.
But she is determined to get to them, even if it means fighting through all of these robots on the way. She swings her stick at spindly automaton legs, jumps on sentry robots trying to bash them before they shoot her.
The first time a lazer grazes her skin she plunges into the emptiness, banishing emotions for the time being, she moves efficiently and stabs without mercy, on a beeline for the group of world miners.
Re: Base Camp
"Nova...you probably better get back to Willow. We should be close enough to camp so you should be able to find her..."
The fire hawk had at least headed off, so at least if nothing else, she'd be in the clear. Between the weather acting up, he has enough cover to beeline for a very specific lack of emotion. He's not sure who that might be, but it's less thrilling to him when he does find out who it is.
But he's not going to stop Little One. She just got herself her own guardian...well. Half-angel, he guesses. For some of the sentry roombas who try to gang up on her...there are a few who just get sucked into the ground, or their joints (still metal, and thus weak to an Earth mage) jam for no apparent reason. If he can get a hand in? He'll grab her shoulder for a brief moment--long enough to heal her and hopefully not have her stab him for the privelege!

[An omnic more suited for hurriedly getting a disaster like this under control would probably have, for example, two hands.]

Locked to Masumi Sera, after the explosion
She's taken some hits herself but is mostly fine, unlike the girl in front of her. Shit. That was bad and Willow cares about very little in that immediate second aside from getting to safety, she had to evac now because there's no safely healing in this situation. She'll just hope and pray Nova will be alright wherever she's helping out.
"SHIT!" She grabs the girl and rapidly taps the SCA for evac and to get to safety.

It may have been a case of the kettle calling the pot black but damned if Reno cared. He still thought of himself as better than a thief and terrorist, after all.
That was all besides the point at the moment anyway. Reno had quite a few robots to contend with before he got anywhere near the six human enemies. He was too far away to attack the bitch much less her cohorts from his current position. That was fine for now. He had no qualms in messing up a few more robots.
These were a little more coordinated than the random ones hanging around in the jungle though. Being directed, having been reprogrammed to do what the world miners wanted, gave them a slight edge. It wasn't really enough though. They were still dumb robots at the end of the day.
Reno had a blast as he dashed among the robotic foes. He used his electrical attacks to stun them and then got in close to bash them to pieces. Easy as pie. As he did so, he moved steadily towards the other end of the battlefield--closer to those humans that were the main targets.
Out of the Battle (Closed Thread)
If people are expecting her, they're going to be disappointed - and Nita hates that, but it's not entirely up to her now.
Bobo, what else is down there? Is it moving, or about to self-destruct?
She wasn't going to get that beeping out of her head easily, that was for sure, and the last robot that had done so near her had already blown up!
/Analyzing... Meanwhile, you may want to watch your tail./
Right.
With a grimace, Nita pulled her shield in around her, electrifying it for good measure.

Bobo's analysing comes back as she enters the jungle, no movement, no people, a ship.
Nita's SCA starts flashing amber.

[ CLOSED: Roland / Zechs / Curufin ; with some CW for cussing, mild violence, torture talks. ]
"You're all pieces of shit!" The saboteur exclaims, half his face buried against the ground out of the angle he was tied up and apprehended. Roland doesn't rise to it though, instead loosening his knee against the man's back to stand him upright, forces him to face the remaining three in the thick of the jungle.
Dark brown eyes turn to Curufin, a familiar face, and the newcomer he has yet to introduce himself to. He remains entirely serious, even as the saboteur thrashes and flails. Roland, for the most part, largely ignores this.
"So, what do we do?" He says to the two of them. "Can't just set him free."

He checked the chamber of his revolver - still fully loaded, so, likely the Arms Band, it was a good a theory as any - and then snapped the gun together with a decisive click.
Zechs' voice was cold, and his eyes were sharp on the man who was on the ground. "You realize your position. We can't take you with us. We can't keep prisoners. If you want to stay alive, you'll talk."

[CLOSED to participants from Boss Fight 1 - similar CWs to above]
Some unfortunate decisions that needed to be made.
But then, Nita was familiar with those.
"So, who have we got here?" Nita asked.
"We have everyone who - well, survived?"
To put it bluntly. But then, the Voidtreckers could come back; who knew what these saboteurs had in place...

Enna's standing by the saboteur, knife drawn. It's a kitchen knife, not a combat knife, but, well.... It'll do.
