Not with a Bang: Conclusion
The base camp is a mess by the time the fight is over. The heavy rain alone would have been enough, but the battle has churned up the earth itself. The previously peaceful clearing is pockmarked with craters and dark puddles where ash has mixed into rainwater, along with oil and blood that swirl unpleasantly through the shallow pools. The trees are bowed outwards with the force of the powers that waged through the area, trunks shattered and torn, boughs hanging haphazardly or draped with the remnants of tents and equipment.
Perhaps all that can be said is that it gives the Voidtrecker Express a decidedly clear landing spot. The train snakes its way through the jungle, coming to a stop in a familiar, though now lopsided, coil around the clearing, and opening its doors to allow injured to be carried on, or anyone from the train to disembark.
It’s clear that there are indeed people aboard - as the doors hiss open, activity is already visible inside, as well as voices audibly going back and forth over the tinny speakers of the ICP.
Now that the saboteurs are dealt with, the final repairs can be made to the damaged stations and the shields locked into place. By the time they are done, nothing and no one will be able to enter the planet - from space, anyway.
The train will remain in the clearing through the night of Imagination 12 and the morning of Imagination 13, until all the stations are prepared, the pandas returned to their rightful place and everyone has rejoined the train.
By midday of Imagination 13, the train is ready to leave. Everyone gets a message on their SCA to return to the train, if they haven’t already. Once all are onboard the doors shut and the train begins to snake through the jungle.
“Re-entering Voidspace in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.”
The train rattles and shakes as the greenery around them (and the purple of a few farewell pandas) fade into the colours of the void.

But he takes better attention of that blanking. Oh yeah, Senku is out of it.
"Alright." Alright. "I'm gonna bring you everything I can and dump it in the luggage car. You can mess around in there if you get bored." Unless Senku had any other plans of distracting himself. "Or, you know, you can try and get some more sleep."
no subject
He defintely wasn't thinking clearly at that point.
"I'm not really tired." He insisted, although that was probably a lie, he looked tired.
no subject
No walk to luggage. Just dump all the junk on Senku now.
"No offence, but I've seen Unsent look more alive than you. Dead people," if that reference didn't get through.
no subject
"Wait..." He blinked a moment. He was forgetting something. What was it...
There was some reason this was a bad idea.
It could be that his hands and wrists were completely bare meaning he wasn't the one with the arms band at the moment, but give him a second Tidus. He might get there.

And if he takes a little too long- "Senku?"
no subject
"Right. Parts. I can't carry those back to my room. Um. Or wherever Gen is? His room? I'm just-" He was a little confused.
"I don't have the arms band." That was it.
no subject
"Right, right." Uh. "Okay. You heading back there? I'll come with and drop them off. Just one of the bags." So there isn't so much space being taken up. Those rooms aren't big!
He could just tell the guy to go back to bed anyway, but considering how often Senku likes something to do... having the distraction there might help keep him put. Near a bed. And fall asleep.
(We can only hope.)

It wasn't Tidus' fault he was losing his trails of thought everywhere.
This suspiciously could be a scheme as good as one Gen might cook up to get him to go to bed.

You ready to take that coffee with you, Senku? They can get walking now, Tidus ready and willing to go at Senku's speed. He's not in any rush either way. Just seems like he might need to keep an eye on Senku along the way...

"This train is so long." He whined. "Seven." Which meant he was closer than other people to the cars but all the same he started walking at the regularly slow pace he always took. If he didn't have to rush, he didn't.
no subject
"Yeahhh, I know." It's very long. "Wanna know a secret? I used to hope we'd end up getting an actual ship, with elevators. That's way better - way better than just sticking everything new in a row."
He pauses, thinks.
"...actually, I think I asked the train to turn into a ship once. I dunno. I say whatever dumb thing I want to the train all the time."
Heh.
no subject
"It's getting as bad as a proper hike." He frowned. He didn't complain about this very much, but it was a bit of a sore point that he couldn't just wander about normally, he just got too tired, too quickly.
