Initial Guarding

Once the other teams fly off it is quiet once more at the military base. Blue team will be allowed to start patrolling, though there will be some areas such as the main command floor that are off limits. Any medically-inclined Void treckers will be welcome in the med bay and the guards will happily have some volunteers to do outside patrols.

But for the first day or so it is quiet, Hitrinto works as a liaison between the void treckers and the command staff, relaying messages and keeping them informed of the progress of battle.

Attack!

Late on the second day there is a break to the peace, alarms blare and lights flash red. "Enemy ships approach. Enemy ships approach."

Anyone who can get to the hanger quick enough will be given ships and sent off to fight. There aren't many enemy ships, four or five and hopefully they are beaten off easily.

But this becomes a semi regular occurrence. At least twice a day there are attacks. Patrols are stepped up, extra people are put on standby to man ships as quickly as possible.

Sabotage

Perhaps the attacks are a distraction. Because it is clear that something isn't right. Power goes down in one section or other. Equipment is messed with. Emergency doors are tampered with or left open. There aren't many people on this base but sometimes they will get the feeling of being watched. Of not being alone.

It soon becomes clear there are enemies inside the station and they are clearly biding their time. It is not known for what purpose. But finding them is probably a priority.

Piccolo was indeed an odd sight out in the space battlefield. His form was tiny compared to all his opponents but his strength more than made up for his lack of spacecraft. The enemy fighters had a hard time locking onto him either because of his smaller form compared to a craft or because his speed and agility made him hard to follow. Either way, he was flying circles around the enemy fighters.

His wingman didn't go unnoticed. He was very careful not to let loose a barrage while allied ships flew past in their own engagements and moved in close range whenever things got hectic. A swift punch sent a ship careening off course.

Easy pickings for Ple Two to blast with her fighter's weapons.

Just a... green man flying around in space, shooting lasers out of his hands. Even in a time and place with the technology Ple Two is used to, that's absolutely in the realm of weird science fiction. ...although it seems like aliens are less foreign to some otherwise less advanced worlds people here are from?

Maybe her home world needs more aliens.

Regardless, Piccolo's size and agility make him excellent bait as well; and Ple Two's Newtype senses make it easy for her to get little glimpses of his intent and stay out of the way. Even while he's just punching spaceships.

At least she can finish them off to feel good about herself.

There were certainly good points and bad points to having encounters with aliens from another world. Whether Ple Two wanted a common foe to unite her people or good aliens to help distract from war and promote peace. Or just for personal reasons like thinking it's really cool.

Piccolo doesn't mind the help. He was used to fighting alone out of pride but recently had re-affirmed the importance of working as a team, too. Gohan was a good leader when it came to that. And of all people to work with Piccolo felt closest to his student. But working with Ple Two in this battle was oddly easy as well. It was as if she could read his movements sometimes before he even made them, which was highly impressive considering his speed. Most humans outside of his group of comrades couldn't keep up. He would commend her later for her talent.

For now he focused on the job at hand, leading another pair of enemy fighters towards her for a quick dogfight between the four of them.

Could aliens really make things any worse for the earth sphere in her time? That's a sort of logic. Perhaps they can just roll in and make humans behave. That's the sort of solution she tends to be drawn towards given her 'upbringing'.

Most of them can't be this absurdly powerful though, can they? Do humans just suck? Or is Piccolo special? He's incredible, but they seem to be coordinating unusually well, too. Of course... that was also on her not trying to just be a one-girl army.

Not without the weapons she was used to.

Still, Ple Two was plenty aggressive when Piccolo drew more enemies into range.
