Orange Team Onward!
Arrival
Their flight path makes sure they are well out of the way of both the battles taking place and they get to the shield station within an hour as long as they fly quickly.
There are no enemy ships around but it is clear there has been an attack, the shield disk itself is damaged and there seems to be no power in the station.
Once they dock they will be met by some technicians who quickly explain the situation.
Help is needed everywhere. The power needs repaired, the shield needs repaired from the outside, there are injured technicians who need medical care. There is a small med-bay available.
Maintenance
Once the initial crisis is dealt with it is a case of keeping up with things. A patrol is needed to guard the station from other attacks, there are four shield stations in total and so the voidtreckers may chose to split themselves once things are a little calmer.
Keeping up the shields is an almost constant job, especially with the attacks. Once one thing is fixed it seems another thing is down. The maintenance itself is very technical but there are parts that can be done by the unskilled as long as they have direction.

infirmary
[Ultimately, Waver could be found in and around the medbay; taking stock of supplies and arranging them in a sort of organized chaos, occasionally picking up a bottle or some other medicine and focusing on it with a very faint glow of light. Occasionally he seemed almost content with the results, but usually his response was a quiet disappointment. In more pressing situations, he'd be with anyone injured--a hand held over their wound to start pulling it back together with a flickering and faint glow of magic. Once whoever he was working on had healed enough to repair the worst of the immediate damage, he'd switch gears to focus on mundane first aid; bandages, splints, whatever else was called for.]
Re: infirmary
Hmm, she's kinda peckish, actually.
...
No!
So, medbay. The guy she follows there is relatively new, but he's also got some pretty cool magic skills, from her spying, so as long as she just supports him, her own healing magic can probably fly under the radar. Right? Right. A girl can dream!
Except, he's doing something kind of weird with all the medication. She really wishes she could analyse it before and after, but without that she has to content herself with poking him and playing him a voiced question. ]
What are you doing?
no subject
[Waver didn't look up from what he was doing, which would very soon present an issue.]
Just let me concentrate for a minute.
no subject
Ahhhh, she missed her skills so much! What was he doing?! She reached out with one leg, and rolled another of the tablets over so she could get a better look. ]
1/3
Sorry, were you saying someth-
no subject
[Waver jumped back, scrambling to get some space and for whatever reason, holding out his right hand like he was about to fire something from it.]
no subject
[At least she wasn't attacking him. Yet.]
no subject
What, you're saying she also jumped back in surprise? That she also has one leg raised as if ready to cast?
Shut up! She's totally used to people reacting like this! You saw nothing! It's not like she gets kinda discouraged whenever this happens after all of her good press!
She carefully reaches down to her device, and types for a second. ]
Sure was.
no subject
Y-you're not...a familiar, or some kind of summon? Or--I guess an alien, considering where we are?
no subject
OHHHHHH.
She reaches up, and her discarded orange spacesuit thingamajig falls out of the spatial pocket she'd stashed it in. That'll prove she's a voidtrecker, right?
A dead goblin also falls out.
It doesn't hit the floor before she scoops it back into storage. Whoops! Anyway, the point is, she's on your side, weedy mage guy! ]

[But it worked well enough, no matter how unsettled Waver still was.]
S...sorry.

[Rapunzel had only ever really known her own method so she couldn't help but be interested in seeing how others managed it.
Rapunzel herself had just finished dealing with a guy who now looked like they were never hurt in the first place while Rapunzel gathered up her hair before focusing on the other for a moment.]
How do you do that?
no subject
[Never mind that all he had were basics.]
It's probably lucky you're here, though. I can't fix nearly as much as you can.
no subject
[She likes to see the positive to everything as best as she could anyway.]
And yes, I can heal a lot, but so can others. Like you. You can heal and that is useful.
no subject
[Self-deprecation takes human form in Waver Velvet.]
I'm just...kind of glad there's something I can do here.
no subject
[She knew what it was like to feel little. She had always felt like the words her mother said were true and the mumbling was... but she at least was starting to understand that honestly, she is more than what she had been called.]
But see... you are happy to be useful and you are here. I think this mission and the train will I hope show you that.
no subject
[He shifted restlessly, and it was abundantly obvious Waver wasn’t all that used to praise or encouragement.]
Your magic is way more useful for this situation. I’ve definitely never seen anything like it.
no subject
[Because no one would really want that to happen.]
I think anyone who can heal is useful, but as for my own, I am the only one who seems to have it in my world. At least... as far as I am aware. I never thought it would ever be used outside of home either, so it's interesting to see people find it useful.

...Only to walk in on a chaotic mess of medicines that don't have any recognizable order to him.
For a moment, he's stuck staring.]
Uhm...
[It's a sense of confusion and awe, followed by a bit of distress. How is he supposed to find anything in here?
He snaps himself back and finds his words.]
Can I... help? With anything?
