Arrival

Their flight path makes sure they are well out of the way of both the battles taking place and they get to the shield station within an hour as long as they fly quickly.

There are no enemy ships around but it is clear there has been an attack, the shield disk itself is damaged and there seems to be no power in the station.

Once they dock they will be met by some technicians who quickly explain the situation.

Help is needed everywhere. The power needs repaired, the shield needs repaired from the outside, there are injured technicians who need medical care. There is a small med-bay available.

Maintenance

Once the initial crisis is dealt with it is a case of keeping up with things. A patrol is needed to guard the station from other attacks, there are four shield stations in total and so the voidtreckers may chose to split themselves once things are a little calmer.

Keeping up the shields is an almost constant job, especially with the attacks. Once one thing is fixed it seems another thing is down. The maintenance itself is very technical but there are parts that can be done by the unskilled as long as they have direction.

"Well, depends on how you consider fighting someone who could control a blizzard, I suppose."

She runs a worried hand through her hair, already springing out of it's work-bun.

"I will admit, the stakes are far higher this time."

"I...don't even know how I'd handle that." How were you supposed to fight a blizzard? The answer was, you probably weren't, you found the person responsible, but still.

"Everything's gonna be alright here, though," he added. "There's a lot of talented people." Who actually knew what they were doing. He hoped. He wasn't one of them though, but he was trying his best.

"I am sure you would have done your best." She smiles understandingly at him

"Just as you are doing here."

"Yeah, you're right," he said, though he was a little sheepish. "Not sure my best would've done a whole lot of good, but I would've tried." Just like he was doing now. "I just hope everyone else is doing alright." The people who were doing way more important jobs than he was--and way more dangerous, too.

"Tish!" She scolds. "None of that. One can never know what one might have done, and tis no good to beat oneself up for what cannot be changed. You do your best, and that is good, and what you might have done then, no one knows, nor does it matter, overly."
