Orange Team Onward!
Arrival
Their flight path makes sure they are well out of the way of both the battles taking place and they get to the shield station within an hour as long as they fly quickly.
There are no enemy ships around but it is clear there has been an attack, the shield disk itself is damaged and there seems to be no power in the station.
Once they dock they will be met by some technicians who quickly explain the situation.
Help is needed everywhere. The power needs repaired, the shield needs repaired from the outside, there are injured technicians who need medical care. There is a small med-bay available.
Maintenance
Once the initial crisis is dealt with it is a case of keeping up with things. A patrol is needed to guard the station from other attacks, there are four shield stations in total and so the voidtreckers may chose to split themselves once things are a little calmer.
Keeping up the shields is an almost constant job, especially with the attacks. Once one thing is fixed it seems another thing is down. The maintenance itself is very technical but there are parts that can be done by the unskilled as long as they have direction.

Curufin did bring his notebook, so he pulls it out of his satchel and starts to scribble.
Ground control answers. "Orange 115, this is Station Control. What's up?" The craft they are flying being designated by the VoidTrecker team that is flying it, and by it's hanger number. A makeshift way of keeping track of the flights.

"It's working--*ahem* Orange 115 reporting solar array damage to station sector..." Reigen pauses to get the number printed on the station. "Five. We'll keep you posted on additional damage."

Curufin smiles at the official sounding tone -- Reigen does that well! -- and then he lifts his mike and adds, "We'll make a few more orbits around the station and then head out a little further on a regular patrol."
He says to Reigen, "This is kinda fun, huh?"

"Yeah! I mean, we should still take this seriously because people's safety is at stake, but--it's like being in a movie! What's that one with the spaceship that travels to all those planets...Star Tours? Is that what it is?"
no subject
"I don't know. I'm not from a world that ever invented movies. I've only seen a few, and that was at a friend's house in a world other than my own. Star Tours? Sounds like a good show. Have you seen it?"
But he agrees it's exciting to be out here, and it feels almost fictional. "I never expected to get out in space, let alone during a space war, and I'm particularly pleased to be sharing the piloting of a space craft, even a small one like this. Shall we take another turn around the station and see if anything else is damaged?"
no subject
"I've seen a couple episodes! It's an American show, there's a crew of people and they usually get in some sort of trouble on the planets they go to? One episode I saw a bunch of these little fuzzball creatures got into the ship and kept multiplying...I'll have to see if I can find it." Man, American television is weird.
"Yeah, let's go around again! Better safe than sorry!" He only half says that so there's a reason he can still cruise in the cool spaceship.
Trying to wrap old threads, so good place to end? This was fun. XD
"America, right. That's that continent way to the west of Europe. Where they make crazy movies and television. That episode of Star Tours you're speaking of sounds totally fascinating. Yes, when is the train going to start stocking movies in the store?" Grin.
"Yeah, let's go!" They zip around the curve of the station and circle it, until they have found all of the visible evidence of damage that there is to be seen. They report it, and keep entertaining each other until eventually it's time to dock.
