Memory Cave

After the passengers see a glimpse of a life that is not their own they appear in a cave. It is light, a strange moss glowing on the walls and ceiling illuminates the cave nicely and it is large enough for them to pace around in without trouble.

They are not alone. In the cave with them is another voidtrecker. Maybe someone they know well, maybe someone they have only seen in the aisles of the train. But they are together in this cave together.

The cave has no exit, at least not yet. They know that it will, eventually. When the time is right.

But for that time to come, they first must talk...

[Allen looked around, slightly confused toward the situation. But there was at least one thing he could understand. This world was fucking with them or at least... someone or something was fucking with them and that was enough to worry him.

He had recognized at least one name mentioned in what he saw, so he had an inkling as to what he was seeing and that... that was not at all good. When he finally clocks on to the fact there is someone else around he is quick to respond.]

Ah, uh... hi there... I get the feeling you have something to do with what I saw... right?

[Another vision. This time, he was more certain that this was not just a weird fluke... especially when he ended up in a cave with only one other person. He was going to assume that this was the person he had been seeing the memories of. And based on the comment... it sounds like he had seen one of his as well]

Yes, it would seem so. And... I have seen yours as well.

[He paused slightly. he honestly didn't like where this might be going really.]

Yeah... I don't know what is going on but... either it's because of the island or the train... I wouldn't be surprised for either at this point.

[He was way to use to oddities happening when he went to worlds, so he really should expect just about anything.]

But now I don't get what we are meant to do though? I assume talk...

[Quatre thought about that for a moment]

Perhaps both? The island is causing it, but the train is facilitating it?

It must. There doesn't seem to be many other options. First I should introduce myself. My name is Quatre Raberba Winner.

Possible. but it's not fun regardless, which... Is also normal for odd things when they happen.

[really, really used to things like this. He found it was very rare for it to happen.]

I'm Allen Walker and Hm... I guess since we are seeing things about one another we should... to attempt to talk about that... though not sure how much that will actually help.

That is true. I haven't been here long, but I've rarely found the strange things that happen with the train fun.

It's nice to meet you, Allen Walker, even if the situation is less than ideal. I suppose maybe we should share first what we saw? I saw one right before getting off the train here... it looked like you were paying bills and planning your budget? Your friend was there. The gold one who is on the train as well.

When odd things happen regardless of where you are... they usually aren't fun.

[Every type of event he ever found himself in was not fun at all. Except for maybe tournaments but that was it. But on thr conversation about first memories he had to pause to think about it before scratching his cheek.]

I was paying off some debt that a goat got me into. [he pauses before remembering that maybe he should explain that one.] In the last world... a goat could forge my signature so...he did...ended up with a lot of debt because of it... 100,000 to be exact [And this was sadly...quite true.]

I believe the one I got of yours was you being on a construction sight.

That is definitely true, train or no train.

[The explanation of the vision made his eyes go wide]

A goat? I can't say that I have ever heard of a goat forging someone's signature. I am sorry that you ended up in so much debt because of a goat.

[He's not even going to doubt it. He'll just go with it]

Oh, yes. I own a large company in my world. I'm sure it was the latest building that we were working on.

[So... completely the opposite problem in regards to money]

In the last world, strange stuff would always happen...so stuff like that would have been considered normal.

[Allen couldn't help but be a tiny bit jealous, but mostly because he liked money because he being in so. much. debt both ni the last world and at home.]

So...the exact opposite of me... So...that would be the memories we saw when we arrived but... [he looked around, so far nothing.]

Guess we should talk about what brought us here, maybe?

The one we were just at with the monsters that came from the orbs?

[Quatre would certainly point out being rich was not necessarily a good thing, but he could say that he had never been in debt or without any money, even when he had disowned himself as a teen so he could not truly understand. Still, that didn't make him any less sad that somehow a goat was able to swindle this man out of so much money]

Yeah, I suppose we should talk about those as well. In the one I saw, it looked like you were getting ready to leave, I think through a gate of some sort. Your friend came to confront you and she wasn't too happy that you were going to be leaving.

You ask that about the oddities if so... That was also normal for me in general... Monsters being a thing not where they came out of.

[Ah, crap. He now regrets asking if they should talk about what they saw and that brought them here. he thought it would help and now he realized what memory it was. If Lenalee ever came here she would be maaaaaaad. But for him... he just remembered why he was leaving, to that his friends couldn't get hurt. It was the best choice even if it meant he was considered a traitor now.

With a slightly awkward laugh he looked to the side.]

Out of all my memories, it had to be that... I mean... [They could have shown much worse but still. I was leaving home for a reason and I was content about that at least. As for you, I at least recognized one of the guys... Duo was it? And exploding giant...things.

I see. We don't have creatures like that. We have mobile suits.

[He could see that the memory was not necessarily the best one and he felt bad now for bringing it up, but he also knew that if they had to talk about the memories, he was going to have had to say it]

Oh... well, at least you were content about it even if it was not an easy decision. Duo, yes! He's my teammate from home.

[The second part gives him a pause. Exploding giant things...]

Did it seem like a good memory? It might have been when we were finally able to destroy our Gundams.

It seems like that, yes. It didn't come at all negative to me.

[He felt like he would at least be able to tell that much, so they had a positive memory and one where Allen was pretty much content in his choices and leaving, which for most would come across as a negative, but in Allen's mind it could fall under the positive if people knew the full context, but that was not something he could really explain, nor did he want to.]

I mean they did seem pretty destroyed.

Oh yes, that was certainly when we destroyed them at the end of the fighting. It was bittersweet but ultimately good.

[He was silent for a moment as he glanced around the cave]

I don't think that was enough.

[He frowned slightly. That wasn't enough? He wasn't quite sure how that wasn't enough, he was at least talking about it after all.]

What does this cave want then? I mean we talked a bit? maybe we are meant to do more? But what?

[Maybe they were meant to talk a bit more about the memories? But he didn't know what else they would need to talk about.]

Nothing has happened so I would assume that wasn't enough. I'm not sure what else we are supposed to say.

[He moved to lean against one wall, putting one had to his chin as he thought]

I'm not sure either, honestly. Like...I assume we are meant to talk more, but at the same time what exactly are we meant to talk about...I thought explaining how we felt would have been enough.

[Esepcially since for him that wasn't exactly the easiest thing honestly.]

Yeah, I'm not sure what more to say. I don't think there is much more about mine at least. I mean I could try to talk more about it.

I could talk more about mine, maybe why I left but... That's the only thing I'd not want to talk about. I know my friends aren't here and the reason is sort to do with them, but still it's also hard to explain to someone who wouldn't know what I was talking about either.

No, I understand completely. I don't really want to make you talk about something that you don't want to. We may not have to... but it's difficult to be trapped with no idea what the answer is to get out of it.

And they give us no hints as to how to do it.

[And Allen is really not that smart to just figure it out quickly how to do the thing. He soon looked around again, trying to figure out the puzzle but still couldn't figure it out.]

Maybe we're trapped here forever.

Probably not forever. There's probably some way out. Besides, we have to be able to get back to the train at some point.

Well... I can say that the first for me was probably not long after I arrived on the train. Is that the same for you? Maybe that's a recent event.

Yeah, it really wasn't that long from that memory before I actually found myself here. Nothing had been going on for once, so I was taking a moment from my duties to do paperwork and things that needed to be done.

I kind of hope the place didn't go to crap because my friend and I left.

So maybe that's a theme of the first one. Not long before arriving. At least between us, it seems fairly mundane.

[He didn't consider business work particularly exciting and not worthy. At least it hadn't been him sitting behind a desk with a giant stack of paper as was known to happen]

I hope not either. I think the Maguanacs and my sisters would be able to manage in place, but more of us our here and we just finished fighting a war.

I like to believe Bulla could take over and deal with things. But at the same time as much as she was capable she couldn't do that type of work all by herself.

[Considering it was protecting a whole city and all. But he soon turned his head slightly.]
