After the strangeness of their second day on the island for some, with memories and conversations in a cave, the third day goes calmly.

At least until mid afternoon. As the day winds on into evening all of those who have been sharing memories with others will feel a pull.

A pull to climb the mountain in the north. It is a good feeling, that mountain is where you need to be. A sense of belonging, friendship, camaraderie. You don't need to be alone, just climb the mountain.

For those that climb they will find worn wooden benches spaced around the lip of the caldera in concentric circles, the centre set up like an amphitheatre. The Jema syrup spills from crevices around the edges, running down from the peak in well-worn grooves and channels.

The sun sets slowly on Jema’grethy, slowly sinking into the ocean over a period of a couple of hours. During that time pairs of Voidtreckers will feel drawn towards the syrup, to touch the surface.

When they do they will receive a memory and find themselves back in that cave once more. For those watching it is as if they are in a trance, lasting a few moments.

People feel moved at different times and so there are always people aware, sat around the mountain top. It might be that there are other friends they wish to speak to about what they see. It might be that they wish to sit silently and avoid everything, if only their friends will allow it.

But it is a place to be together nonetheless.

"Do you got a camera sir?" He grinned at him and looked around, he can't even think of what he would want pictures of. Everything!

"It's just all so pretty!"

"My face itself is a camera," Webmind explained, letting the emoticon-projection fade so Romeo could see the camera behind it.

"It would certainly be difficult to lose it!"

And he can understand Romeo having difficulty picking just one thing to appreciate, too.

"'From mountain to shining sea,' as it were?"

"Oh!" He stares at the camera face for a moment. "That's really cool! So you can take pictures of anything you want all the time!"

He looks around again, "It is all very shiny!"

"And not due to any sort of mist phenomenon."

Meaning it was a feature of the syrup itself.

"Seeing as I've seen other people do this, I suppose I must ask - have you already had a taste of this material? It is apparently safe for ingestion."

He doesn't quite know what to think of it for the long term, but given his sources are reliable, he'll accept it as truth for the now.

"It is really yummy!"

He grinned, with a huge smile. "Me and mister Glorfindel ate some with ice cream!"

It had really been tasty and sweet!

Ah; so that's how Romeo found out!

"I can assume they were a pleasant combination, then?"

Webmind may not have taste buds, but he'll take input from the experts!

"What else did you try it with?"

If Romeo had had the time for it; with so much to do and see around here Webmind can't say for sure what the shinki could have gotten up to! ~~Such a change from Webmind's own norm.~~

"Just ice cream so far. But we still got some left so we might try some with other things. I bet it will be nice with fruit too."

He grinned, "I never knew rivers could taste so yummy!"

"I have heard that rivers holding fresh water are refreshing... but somehow I expect this is not like that."

(Water is meant to be drunk, not eaten! That's what ice is for.)

"It is refreshing! And sweet." He smiled and then tilted his head.

"Can robots eat ice cream?"

It would be very sad if they couldn't.

"I understand they can be made to, but this frame currently lacks that feature."

A pause, and then, perhaps to assuage Romeo's disappointment,

"It has been suggested to me before that I order an augmentation for such an experience. Perhaps you could help me find the best wording to achieve such an end in the shop menus?"

Romeo just blinked. He sort of understood. He couldn't eat food. But some robots could. And maybe something about a shop?

He laughed, reaching up to scratch the side of his head. "I don't think I'm smart enough for all those words mister Webmind, but I hope someone can help you buy auga...mutations at the shop."

Another nod. "I suspect Glorfindel will be one of the first to volunteer, should I but ask. You know him?"

It'd be hard to imagine Romeo not knowing someone on the train; he was that friendly sort, after all, something he could relate to.

"Yes!"

He nodded, "He's really nice! Do you know him too?"

Glorfindel was really kind and really good at keeping peoples spirits up!

"Yes. We have had many conversations together since our arrivals on this train. He has as much of a way with plants as with people."

And that was a high compliment, to him; not all people were so talented, in his experience!

Romeo nodded with a grin, he was a very clever person! "I bet he would help you buy things at the shop!"

He was always helping others after all!

"We may have to involve Curufin as well; Glorfindel is not exactly an expert in technology."

Despite how it sounded, that wasn't to contradict what he'd just said!

"But that is more a matter of having the right terminology - the right words - than having enough points to buy anything."

He nodded, "I bet with those two's help you will get what you want with no trouble at all!"

They were both very smart after all!

"And then we could have ice cream together?"

It's not so much a suggestion as returning to the earlier idea; Webmind knew full well the power of a promise.

"Yes!"

He grinned, "Let me know when you buy the... mutations and then we can eat ice cream together!"

It would be a lot of fun!
