Let it Snow: Blue Start
The moment the doors open for purple to jump the train is speaking again. “Blue team to doors. Void shift imminent. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one” The train lurches and shudders as the windows flash the colour of the void for a split second before it shakes again and they are back in that frozen tundra.
The doors open and blue can jump down into a large snowdrift. They are at the foot of an impressive mountain range. Snow swirls around them, the wind hows. Ahead of them, half obscured by snow is a tunnel entrance.
Even getting there is exhausting, wading through the snow. Inside there is no snow but it is cold. The walls and floor shine with ice and the way is treacherous. It is pitch black.
Their task is to find those hiding in the tunnels. Some have formed makeshift camps in large caverns, others have fled into the small tunnels and have gotten themselves lost.
The voidtreckers are lucky to at least have a map on their SCA though it does not show where anybody else it. It is time to start the task of rounding everyone up and making sure they can survive the storm.

He should protest maybe that he was busy or more preparation was needed, but nothing came out of his mouth. Instead, that mouth was now being occupied by Tony with their kiss.
The advisor didn't mind the missions, he just minded the long separation without contact. The one mission that had the communication was wonderful. He simply wasn't used to not being with and not fighting alongside his loved ones in order to keep them safe.
As soon as the lovers parted, Ignis smiled. "Well hello to you Mister Stark. Tell me, what brings you over to the Blue Team's spot on the train?"
This was said conversationally, as if he personally had no clue.

The missions gave his life here a purpose. They were difficult and they were keeping him from being on the train with those he now viewed similar to family, but they were necessary. Though he didn't speak of it to most people, he needed the sense of atonement they were giving him as well. The harder he worked and suffered on the missions the better. The worst part was not being able to touch base with the other teams and with his boyfriend. However, there was a plus side to it too. No contact with the others meant his focus could remain solely on what he was doing. It had been hard watching Ignis walk away over and over again last mission knowing he was going somewhere dangerous each time.
And that was just like now.
He smirked at the formality, especially given how informal PDA was. "The handsome devil in front of me, of course." His humor faded as his expression became more serious. "You be careful out there. Promise me you'll come back." He didn't care if Ignis couldn't guarantee that. He needed to hear it anyway.

The blondish head cocked to the side thoughtfully. "Don't tell me you're worried about me." Ignis shook his head because he was worried too. He just didn't want to burden his lover any further than he already was with worry.

The tease drew him from his dark thoughts and he smiled. "Never! Why would I go and do a silly thing like that? I'm just concerned about that ass of yours."

"You need to come back safe as well darling." Ignis said, with his brows furrowing together. He really wasn't sure which team got the worse jobs, red or blue. It didn't really matter, he'd worry a little less if he could be with Tony on his team, or have the respective teams working together.

He nodded, accepting the 'order' such as it was. "I promise I will." He drew his boyfriend back into a tight hug before stepping back. "Do I need to tell Madoka to keep you out of trouble?"

The advisor smiled carefully. "Madoka isn't old enough to be in charge of me I'm afraid."

"You might be surprised," Tony tossed back lightly. It was amazing what young people were capable of. Sometimes that was a bad thing, but he bet this one would be a good one. "Don't resist help if it's offered. You need to take care of yourself too. That's part of being a good leader is showing them balance." Like he ever followed that advice.

He knew it was good advice in and of itself. He just knew this was a 'here take my advice because I'm not using it's type thing.
This mission was going to be long slow and painful. Cold too, so to that end, the advisor removed his long green scarf and put it around Tony's neck. He smiled and gave a satisfied nod. "It looks better on you darling."
He was definitely reminded of when he handed over his necklace which he knew Tony barely ever took off.

The scarf being draped around his neck surprised him and yet it warmed him more than physically. He pulled Ignis back in for another kiss. "I'll return to you, Tiger. I promise." He looked back toward his team and sighed. "I have to go. Be careful."

He was surprised at the kiss but couldn't help but to stare as his lover walked away after making his promise to return.
There were so many things that he wanted to say but nothing actually came out. When Tony moved out of sight, Ignis sighed and turned away to head back to his own team.
