Day 5 Domino: Let it Snow: Preperations
Early Evening
Due to some of the passengers having strange dreams those on the Voidtrecker Express should be expecting something soon and so it is around dinner time on the evening of the fifth day of Domino that everyone's SCA glows with the colour of the void, a holographic message appears with their next mission.
Those going to the dressing car will find the drawers and wardrobes open. Inside are a variety of warm weather clothes, all in team colours. Thick padded winter jackets, waterproof trousers. Hats, gloves, scarves. Thick boots and also a variety of ice skates. There are waterproof covers for a variety of sizes of bags and even some coils of rope.
It seems they are not arriving until the next morning and so they have time to plan as best they can.
Morning: Day Six
No matter if they stayed up late preparing or went to bed early to get some rest before the mission they will wake up the next morning to the morning announcement. "Good morning passengers. Today is day six of the month of Domino. A moment later the voice speaks again. "Our next stop is world#58291. Drop order: Purple, Blue, Red, Orange. Conditions are adverse and so all passengers must be ready to alite swiftly."
There is time for some final preparation.

It is apparent that Paper is quite used to packing for trips such as this by how carefully he packed a spare set of clothes, rope, supplies. One who is paying attention may notice that Paper's spare set of clothes are for someone a little bit taller than him, with gloves for human hands and shoes for human feet instead of the things presented for him. He seemed to pack an extra of everything for the road ahead: he seemed to ignore Eva's suggestion to pack light. He would leave his pack and the clothes he pulled for himself on his bed as he went to find a free quiet cabin.
The quiet cabin was unlocked with Paper inside, seeming to meditate over his weapon. By now people would likely know he would not be upset if bothered. After the hour of focus his ritual would be complete and the dagger would be sent away. Paper would stand and make the motion of drawing a sword and a longsword would appear in Paper's hand as if it were being drawn from a sheath - which, conveniently, materialized in Paper's other hand. The sword was the same void dark with static stars that didn't move with the sword, a larger star (or eye?) where the hilt and blade met. He sheathed the sword and fastened it around his waist cheerily before moving on.
Paper would then go around to the other cabins and help people fold items to fit as much as they could into packs.
Morning
Paper is awake early and gets dressed warmly, looking quite at home in the garb. He's since tied the extra human-boots to the external of his pack, and his sword is tied outside of his coat so it's easy for him to grab, should the need arise.
Likely if you look as if you're struggling to get all layered up appropriately he will appear and help you get the layers sorted in the warmest way possible. He'll take extra time with any kids who seem to be quite confused to make sure their limbs are covered and kept warm, and will help adjust scarves to keep their faces warm should the wind be biting.
He will be very easy to find should his prestidigitation skills to make things warm for an hour be needed.
Morning
"Nice blade," he remarks, seeing that Paper is armed.

"Oh, thank you! I thought a sword may be more appropriate for the task at hand than a bow." His magic could be used for ranged anyway, so it was fine. "I am much less experienced at fighting in blizzard conditions, so I admit I worry about holding my sword in these." He holds up his gloved hands and weakly wiggles his fingers.

"I'd certainly say a sword is a better choice, if we should have to fight. A sword is for closeup and personal fighting, which I expect we'd have to do, assuming we have to fight in the labyrinth. I'm hoping we don't. I'm also hoping that we have time to find that machine and wreck it, and then still have enough time left over to get down to the valley and help those who are combating the ice creatures."
He looks at Paper's taloned hands encased in their gloves. "You're worried about your fingers getting too cold to wield a sword?"
Morning
"Hello Paper." She smiles at him. "You look ready!"
no subject
"Hello Nerdanel! I sure hope so, I'm not a big fan of the cold!" His smile faded to concern. "Are you going to be warm enough out there? The mission said it was a blizzard."

At present, all she has is a jacket, scarf and boots.
