Day 5 Domino: Let it Snow: Preperations

Early Evening

Due to some of the passengers having strange dreams those on the Voidtrecker Express should be expecting something soon and so it is around dinner time on the evening of the fifth day of Domino that everyone's SCA glows with the colour of the void, a holographic message appears with their next mission.

Those going to the dressing car will find the drawers and wardrobes open. Inside are a variety of warm weather clothes, all in team colours. Thick padded winter jackets, waterproof trousers. Hats, gloves, scarves. Thick boots and also a variety of ice skates. There are waterproof covers for a variety of sizes of bags and even some coils of rope.

It seems they are not arriving until the next morning and so they have time to plan as best they can.

Morning: Day Six

No matter if they stayed up late preparing or went to bed early to get some rest before the mission they will wake up the next morning to the morning announcement. "Good morning passengers. Today is day six of the month of Domino. A moment later the voice speaks again. "Our next stop is world#58291. Drop order: Purple, Blue, Red, Orange. Conditions are adverse and so all passengers must be ready to alite swiftly."

There is time for some final preparation.

"How big?" Kaito riffles through the taller shelves Conan would have to climb to reach.

"You have a snowboard AND a skateboard? I'm begining to think Tony-san plays favourites!"

"I traded him some stories," Conan says as he rummages through the bags. "And I'd prefer something big enough to carry a soccerball."

"What, your cases?" Not the real story, he imagines. He finds it hard to think of Kudo's paranoia allowing that.

"Here, this one?"

"How my skateboard and snowboard got damaged before. Specifically, the last incident with Lupin." Suitably edited, of course, to avoid any mention of certain things.

Conan was still annoyed over all the nonsense that had happened back then.

He takes the bag and looks it over.

"This should work."

Kaito scowls. "I still need to get him back for that."

Conan is his detective damn it.

"Didn't you already get back at him for borrowing your identity?"

He'd heard about the heist incident from Hattori.

[stealsyourheart]

"For my identity, yeah. Haven't got back at him for involving you yet."

Seriously?

"I involved myself," Conan points out.

Although Lupin and the others really should have known that warning him to stay away from it was just going to make him more determined to deal with the issue. Let alone bringing that kind of problem into Conan's area of Japan.

Look Lupin muscled in on his territory and involved his detectives, and that's not cool.

"He kidnapped you." Kaito replies flatly.

Never mind that he does the same. Cough.

"Technically, the last time we met it was his enemy that kidnapped me." A pause. "And shot me."

"That is not making me any happier." He points out.

"That part didn't have anything to do with you," Conan points out.

"Doesn't mean I have to like it." He mutters rebelliously. He tries DAMN HARD to avoid violence okay. ESPECIALLY TOWARDS HIS DETECTIVES. Yes, he fails. BUT HE TRIED DAMNIT. LUPIN DIDN'T EVEN TRY.

"And this all happened months ago. Isn't it a little late to get upset about it now?"

"You're saying that like I haven't been upset this whole time?"

"Seriously? You've been holding on to this that long?"

"I'm allowed to hold grudges!"

"Do you hold grudges like this for the other detectives you know?"

"If I like them."

He has favourites okay.
