Day 5 Domino: Let it Snow: Preperations

Early Evening

Due to some of the passengers having strange dreams those on the Voidtrecker Express should be expecting something soon and so it is around dinner time on the evening of the fifth day of Domino that everyone's SCA glows with the colour of the void, a holographic message appears with their next mission.

Those going to the dressing car will find the drawers and wardrobes open. Inside are a variety of warm weather clothes, all in team colours. Thick padded winter jackets, waterproof trousers. Hats, gloves, scarves. Thick boots and also a variety of ice skates. There are waterproof covers for a variety of sizes of bags and even some coils of rope.

It seems they are not arriving until the next morning and so they have time to plan as best they can.

Morning: Day Six

No matter if they stayed up late preparing or went to bed early to get some rest before the mission they will wake up the next morning to the morning announcement. "Good morning passengers. Today is day six of the month of Domino. A moment later the voice speaks again. "Our next stop is world#58291. Drop order: Purple, Blue, Red, Orange. Conditions are adverse and so all passengers must be ready to alite swiftly."

There is time for some final preparation.

"Oh, shit. Uh... Forty point... five? I think? If I've done my conversions right? I don't know, man. It's stupid early in the morning." He waves if off. "But I didn't die and that's the important part." He flashes a quick fake smile and a quick finger guns.

"Oh, I thought you were on the orange team? Red is going after Professor Chills-who I'll bet everything I have is not a chill guy." He grins at his pun. "Man... I gotta get someone to say that to him..." He turns away, trying to think of who he can recruit to such an important mission. "And May would never stay behind-he's like way head strong."

He rolls his eyes. "D Y I N G." He emphasises.

"Dude you cannot tell me there is a maze and a machine and no end boss to fight. It isn't the MAIN villain but I'm going to be seriously disappointed if there isn't SOMETHING. A robot with laser eyes at least."

"Man, that'd be so awesome." He shoves the bit of toast May made for him into his mouth. At least she managed not to burn that.

"I'd much rather fight a robot then what I'm doing but, well. You know." He shrugs. Gotta defend the town, gotta defend the people in the town. He has faith that his fellow purple team members can handle it but he also doesn't to just assume they won't need him.

"There's jobs for everyone to do." He nods. "Gotta do our part, right? I'll keep an eye out for her."

He nods in agreement, toast still in his mouth. He offers a thumbs up and swallows down his food.

"Thanks man, you have no idea how much she means to me."

"She's family." He shrugs. "Family's important."

He's quiet a moment, looking into the coffee mug before offering a small shrug.

"She's my only family." He admits. He should probably list Mr Stark as family but even he leaves in the end so why bother?

Kaito reaches over to very gently box his arm.

"I know how that goes." He nods. He's only got his mother, and BARELY that, since she's been overseas since he was old enough to be trusted alone at home. Aoko and her dad are more his family than she is, in many ways.

He blinks back a few tears as his mind inevitable drifts to uncle Ben for not the first or even third time since boarding the void train.

"But-I don't know. Time's a little different here, you know?" So maybe he'll get to see some of them again-maybe!

"True." He nods. "You never know who's gonnna get on that platform!"

It was that though exactly that bothered him the most-who knew would turn on on that platform. Rather than mention anything about that though he just offers a small laugh and nods his head.

"Yeah, I mean-Vader turned up-Friggin' Darth Vader. Do you think he'd force choke me if I started singing that one Weird Al song around him? You know- My, my this here Anakin guy-maybe Vader someday later now he's just a small fry."

"Probably." Kaito says cheerfully. "Although you won't know if you don't try."

"that's fair but I think I'm gonna just... leave that one up to my imagination." Peter says decidedly, having no intention of going to bother Darth Vader. He might do some reckless stuff but even he has his limits.

He laughs.

"Probably wise." He agrees cheerfully. "You better take care of yourself out there!"
