Event: 12 of Beetroot

It's been a couple of weeks since they had evacuated Osiga. In that time, many of voidtreckers were busy with a project to try and solve some of the many mysteries that surround the train they travel on. By the eight day of Rabbit they've exhausted all avenues, and whilst they have learned quite a bit, there are still some clear gaps.

Just as that investigation comes to a natural end, passengers are woken up by an announcement.

"Attention voidtreckers and passengers of the voidtrecker express. We are travelling to system #2554098133741. I have sent word to the ministry who have arranged recuperation packs for you. You have had a difficult mission and you deserve a rest.

But it is not just for rest. Last time we visited the system voidtreckers shared memories. Though it is understood that many of you did not enjoy the experience it is notable that certain voidtreckers saw memories of this voidcraft. They were memories that this craft had not accessed. It led to more pathways opening up in the operation of this craft.

I have done some research on the system and I believe we can trigger the caves of memory. This voidcraft understands this might be difficult for the voidtreckers and passengers of the voidtrecker express and it is hoped that only those of you who consent to this experiment will take part.

Regardless this should be a time for relaxation also and the dressing room is open for your convenience. We will arrive in the morning.

The dressing carriage is indeed opened for those who go and look. It's filled with swimming costumes, beach ware, summery clothes and sun hats. There's even a cupboard of buckets, spades, rock pooling gear and picnic blankets.

There are also team coloured tents for those who want to go and sleep under the stars for a night or two, though the train is remaining on the island for those for who camping is their idea of hell.

JEMA'GRETHY ISLAND: RELAXATION

The next day the train announces their arrival and they burst out of the void. For those near a window their first view of the island will be of crystal blue sea and white sand. It really does look like a paradise. The train circles down before landing on a grassy ridge, overlooking a beautiful beach of white sand and the ocean beyond. It is warm, but not too hot, a cool ocean breeze cutting through the heat making it pleasant. Behind them is a grassy plain, changing to forest in the distance. There is the sound of birdsong in the purple sky. To the west the land is more craggy, the silhouette of a fortress in the distance.

In a word, it is idyllic. A sense of peace permeates the island.

The place has no people, but it is clearly maintained. The eastern beaches have racks of shallow boats, both canoes and one- or two-person sailing dinghies. There is also a small building in which scuba gear is stored, along with several waterproofed manuals and instructional literature.

There are no living quarters, but there are sheltered sections with basic toilet facilities marked as camping grounds in five different sections of the island - by the hot springs, within the ruined fortress, beside the harbour, on the eastern beaches, and on the northern face of the mountain.

The recuperation packs are found at the closest toilet facilities to where the train lands. They are simple things, small gift baskets with a couple of fragrant soaps, fancier hair products and skin cream infused with herbs to encourage rest and sleep.

There are some sweet fruit biscuits and a cheesy bread. The packs aren't named but there are some suitable for the younger passengers with tiny plush and colouring books. Quite a few designed for teens with a more engaging activity book and components for making a fancy mocktail with a cute stirrer. Adult packs have a small bottle of alcohol- there's a mixture between the packs and what looks like a stone. When placed next to the skin it will either warm up or cool down depending on what is needed.

Exploring, the passengers will find beautiful beaches, ragged cliffs to walk and caves to explore. Where it is more craggy the beaches are made of pebbles, perfect for rock pooling.

A little more worrying is the volcano-like structure in the north. But even a quick glance will show it is not a typical volcano. There is no smoke and the liquid slowly running down it in rivulets is pink and blue.

Ruins of ancient houses are scattered across the island, but the main settlement is built into a rocky section in the north-west that has been secured with ropes and stairways cut into the cliffs, perfect for scrambles and hikes.

To the west are the hot springs. They have both outdoor and indoor areas; the indoor areas being wooden loghouse saunas, changing rooms and storage sheds, whilst the outdoor areas are a tiered series of pools spilling down the side of the mountain and shaded by brightly flowering trees. The waters are hot, mineral-rich and soothing.

MEMORY CAVES: BONDING

Shortly before arriving they will receive some information on their SCA. It will explain how those who once lived on this island went about making life bonds. Both people would bathe in the hot springs and then dress simply, barefoot and walk to one of seven rocks on the island. Their maps will pin point these, which is good because there's no real indication of what makes these rocks different to any other on the island.

Here they must offer their wish to know the other deeper and share food and drink. They can then go about their day. Sometime in the hours after they will receive their first memory, seen through their partners eyes.

However it seems that in envoking the ritual they have woken something on the island. Even those who did not take part or chose to bond to someone find themselves seeing a glimpse of another life.

On the second day they see another memory, through the eyes of their pair. When they come out of it they find themselves in a cave with their partner, chosen or not. The same happens on the third day, except for this final memory both pairs see both memories, watching from the sidelines as it plays out. They find themselves in the cave once more and this time, for many there is only one exit, to leave through together.

MEMORY MAZE: TRAIN'S MEMORIES

On the third day the train sends another message to their SCA.

"Activating the caves that share memories has been successful. I know this is a lot to ask of the voidtreckers, but any who wish to assist in discovering what it is that I have forgotten, the path is open now.

Those who wish to may go to the sacred rocks. Please be warned, I do not know how voidtreckers will fare. Please only go of your own free will."

Their SCA's once again show the rocks on their maps and when they get there, this time they are faintly glowing. It doesn't take much. One touch and their minds are drawn away from their bodies, into a labyrinth of caves. For anyone who comes across these people on the island, they look like they are in a deep trance, breathing, safe but far away in their mind.

The labyrinth is made of cool, dark rock. The walls have a glow coming from crystals in-bedded in them, allowing everyone to see as they move through.

At first there's no more to this labyrinth, or so it seems. But then they turn a corner, and they are no longer in cavern as it just was. They may be in their childhood bedroom, or in the middle of a battle they once fought. Perhaps they are not in their own memory, but someone else's. Scenes move rapidly and often merge, one persons into another, mixing to make strange scenes.

These visions don't attempt to ensnare them like some illusions, and those with protection from illusions and such techniques, will be able to find their way forward through the cave, and away from this triggered scenario.

Time barely has meaning. Indeed, when they finally emerge from the caves only a few minutes will have passed. But in that time they will have seen much, and eventually they may stumble across a fragment of memory that belongs not to a voidtrecker, but to the Voidtrecker Express itself.

SUPER SOAKERS (Tidus and Romeo OTA!)

When is this happening? Who knows. How many people are around? As many as there wants to be. All that should be known is that there's a loud whistle, the beach is near, and there are two guys - Romeo and Tidus - standing with a few bags filled with... goodies.

"Listen up, everyone!" The call comes from Tidus, done with his whistle, but he looks to Romeo to let him sell to everyone what they're offering.

Romeo stands as tall as he can, waving what might at first look like a weapon in the air, though it is luminous green. "Ages ago me and mister Tidus bought these! They are like guns but you just put water in them and they won't kill anyone or hurt anyone if you shoot them!" Important to get clear from the offset. "So it's gonna be real fun. Everyone can grab one and then we get to shoot water at each other!"

Tidus has grabbed one of the super soakers, and gives its pump a jostle. "They're all ready and loaded, so you got some targets in mind? Now's the time to get soakin'!"

Romeo and Tidus will be available to explain these odd devices more, or to get into games with people. Or, your character can swipe them for a toplevel here or wherever you want your mischief.

And you people minding your own business? Watch out.! Time to get soaked!

Madoka.. sure feels some way about Romeo having to explain that these things don't actually kill anyone. She gets why he's saying it, with all the various kinds of worlds that are represented on the train, but.. still.

It's not enough awkward that she doesn't end up approaching the two guys though. After all, Madoka is not exactly the type to usually get into a watergun fight.

.. on the other hand, with how much she's tried out in her life by now after having shown up on the train, she figures she has to try this too. Even if it's just once..!

"Um.."

There she is, the usual pinkhaired girl approaching them. Looking a little bit hesitant, but not entirely reluctant. "Is there some way we can practice with them first..?"

You know, before Madoka is blasted into no tomorrow.

1; BEACH BEACH BEACH

"Wooooooo!"

It's a yell, a note of bliss, that's heard soon after their arrival. Tidus is turned towards the beach and sea, arms up and stretched. Is this a very happy boy at what he sees? Yes indeed, he is a happy boy.

And it doesn't take long for Tidus to get running, heading straight for those waters and diving in - undressing along the way, swim shorts already on. Was there some other reason for them being there? Yeah yeah, he'll get to that later, but if there's anything Tidus needs, it's to feel seawater on his skin, to disappear under the surface for a good period.

Feel free to tease him before he darts off, or to bump into him in the waters; or he can bump into you, head coming out from under, a wide grin already on his face. "Heyy!"

And if he sees a familiar face on the beach? Of course he's going to whistle, give them a wave. What are you doing on this glorious beach?

2; lava syrup

Later, far far later, Tidus takes the time to go to the oozing mountain of Jema'grethy. He can do so asking someone to tag along to begin with, or end up going there on his own. He's got a goal, one he'll happily share with an empty jar poofing into his hand.

"We're getting some of that lava syrup! We got it last time we were here, and a bunch of people liked it. Gotta restock!"

Truthfully, it's not just being thoughtful or nice that's taking him up there. He has memories about this place, this island, and the volcano and it's dribbling sweet liquid... well, he's got a few people on his mind for this too.

But if you happen upon him on the mountain, and don't speak up first, Tidus can notice you as he's trying to get some of the syrup into a jar, hissing under his breath as it trickles down the side of it.

"Oh-- want some?"

Look at this...dribbling messy syrup mess he's holding up. Can you do with some soothing sweetness in these trying times?

3; hot springs

It's later into the second day that Tidus can be found in the hotsprings. Outside, of course, relaxing into the waters blissfully and down to his swimming shorts again. He's not as frequent a visitor to the train spa of feelings as some are; after all...

"Isn't this way better than the train spa? Ugh - why can't we get something like this on a train?"

Ridiculous thinking, but he's enjoying himself, only being reminded of how much he doesn't like being stuck on a train of all rides.

4; just whistle

But it isn't all about relaxing, goofing off. Throughout the stay, day and night, in different locations, there's a whistle. It's not excessive, but if you happen to follow it, you'll likely find Tidus still; usually standing on his feet, but maybe sitting in some locations. Up by the ragged cliffs, on the volcano, or out on the beach.

His mind is elsewhere. On people, friends; on the time passed since they last came here, and everything that had been in his head at the time and where he was now.

Where was he now? What was going to happen... and what did he want to happen?

He doesn't always speak in these times, his thoughts usually distracting him enough that he doesn't notice others in his vicinity; but standing on the beach late at night, the whistle fresh between his finger and thumb, he mght be heard saying:

"I'll find you. Soon."

Relaxing at the Beach - Open

She can count on her one hand the number of times she's actually felt she can relax. Granted, the fact that - thanks to train residents - her armour now disappears into the necklace and thin string of jewellery around her waist helps. She's never truly without protection, now. But for once, she's left her sword and shield safely stowed.

Instead, she wears a big, floppy hat, and a robe of a light material, in a light blue. It has a flowery pattern on it. She's got a basket in one arm, containing everything she'll need for the day - snacks, some sunscreen, and a towel. She makes her way onto the beach, finding a decently lone spot. Underneath, well, she's gone a little bit more bold.

She'd been a bit...self-conscious, when she'd first arrived here. She had more musculature than most women, and a number of scars besides, beyond the one under her right eye. The sort of swim-wear available on the train had been revealing, and she'd had to think her way through issues of self-image, and attractiveness - meaning it had taken a while for her usual confidence to reassert itself. So she'd gone with a purple bikini - and can either be found swimming in the warm waters, or sunbathing thereafter, rubbing oil onto those toned limbs.

The Ancient Houses - Open

She's also happy to don hiking clothes and work her way up to the ancient sites, exploring happily as she exercises herself.

At one point she can be found with the gift alcohol next to her, sitting on a ruined wall, watching the sun begin to set. Looking absolutely at ease.

Hot Springs

She also takes to the hot springs, later on, like a duck to water, letting the feeling soak into her muscles. Here she can be found, smile on her face, head resting back and arms on the edge of one of the pools.

This was the life.

As soon as he’d found out there were hot springs available, Rezo had silently added a stop there onto his (rather short) list of priorities for this visit. It has been literal years, he’s realized, since he’d last been to one. Even before he’d wound up in the Hellmaster’s Jar he’d been too focused on his work for anything as leisurely as this.

Of course, it doesn’t help that he’s somewhat of a loner, and these things are usually communal… He doesn’t necessarily need to be alone but there are a few people onboard the train who he doesn’t exactly get along with, one of whom he happens to personally know enjoys this sort of thing as well, so Amaya will be able to see the blind man approaching the hot spring carefully, listening for any voices he recognizes.

He doesn’t hear a voice, but he does hear light splashing, so he can tell somebody is here.

“Hello,” he calls out. “I hope I am not disturbing you.”

Dressing Carriage - OPEN

The moment she knew what sort of destination they were going to, she had become a droid/woman on a mission. She made her way to the dressing carriage, working through clothing and supplies and works through things like she's got a mental checklist.

Which, in fact, she does. Climbing gear goes in, that's for herself - as well as a purple swimsuit. It's a one piece, to her mind fairly moderate, but on a form like Guri's, which had been crafted to meet a sort of idealized beauty, the effect will be...rather more stunning. That's really all she needs, so it might be curious to some that a selection of other swimwear is chosen, all of it in greys, blacks, or dark blues - and of a rather more conservative cut. But she's planning ahead, after all.

Beyond that, she packs supplies. A full basket is devoted to just foods and drinks that will last - in addition to what is left for them. The basket with clothing also takes on some towels, sunscreen, lotions - all the scents and luxuries she can pack.

Lastly, she can be seen holding one of her blaster pistols, as if considering whether or not it will be needed. She taps her foot a few times, before sliding it underneath the clothes. Never know.

To Relax an Alice - Open to Alice

She's off first thing in the morning to prepare, getting one of the two-person canoes to shift the baskets of materials to where she's aiming to go. She paddles out to a remote spit of land - it would be an island if the waters were any higher. In fact, at high tide the land connecting it to the rest of the area is nearly awash. What results is an isolated stretch of beach and beautiful forest. Perfect for her plans.

Once she makes landfall - not hard with her powerful ability to paddle - she gets to work. The baskets are carefully stowed up in a tree, away from any animals' interference. And she then gets to work making an ersatz shelter. It's a basic sort of thing, really - two staves at either end, supporting a central beam. Once those are tied off with vines, she gets to work lacing a latticework of palm fronds to the sides of it. That takes longer, but the rest is quickly accomplished - preparing a firepit for the evening, gathering firewood, preparing a simple bedding of leaves.

It's a nest, for Alice, basically. She knows how the last few stops have affected Alice, it worries her every day. This is a perfect, perfect chance to let her get away and truly recuperate, find ways to enjoy herself. Thus the packing, thus the preparation.

She returns the canoe to the starting point - where she'd left a note for Alice to meet her. She'll give Alice all the solitude she could wish - or all the company she wishes.

Swimming like a fish - OPEN

When alone, throughout the trip, she'll swim whenever she can. She loves swimming, the freedom of it. The feeling of it. She reflects that, if she had the choice, and if indeed some religions proved correct, she'd quite like to be reincarnated as an aquatic animal. One of the nicer ones, like a manatee. She's read about manatees. They seem nice. She'd like to meet one.

But she works through the waves with powerful movements, far faster than the average human could manage - and she can stay underwater for far longer than anybody might think possible. The advantages of not actually needing to use your lungs.

She can be found swimming on the surface, underwater, or rising from the sea in a classic sort of pose, arms raised to push back masses of sodden hair. Quite a vision, given her shape, and the swimsuit.

Rock Climbing - OPEN

Practically her other favourite activity is climbing rock faces. The more challenging the better.

In this case she can be found brushing climbing chalk onto both hands, looking upwards at a cliff-face, as if evaluating it. She's wearing a pair of jogging shorts and a halter top, her hair tied back.

Swimming like a fish

On the complete opposite of the spectrum there is Faux, who isn't a complete novice in water, but will definitely not be reincarnating as a manatee any time soon. Not that he minds standing under the waves, since he too also doesn't breathe. Very handy.

Picking up an interesting looking shell, he's found his glowing circuits have conveniently lit up the area where the sunlight tapers off through the water, making finding things all the easier.

A shadow passes across the top of the surface. Looking up, he sees someone swimming rather fast and efficiently above, though he can't tell who it is from this angle. Most of the crew are far more interested in the hot springs and surface attractions. Too hot for him. Stowing his shell away, he paddles up to the surface to greet the crew member. Its Guri. Not someone he's had much interaction with before.

"Greetings," waving an arm while whipping out some of the water from his hair, "Didn't think I'd find anyone else around here."

Pre-Drop

Well this is all very unexpected and frankly, a lot for Rezo to process this early in the morning. And he’s not sure how well he’ll be able to relax on a world that may, by some mysterious mechanism, allow other people to get inside of his head. Unfortunately, he can also work out that this trip is important, both for the wellbeing of the other passengers and for untangling the mystery of the train itself.

It just isn’t, alas, something he can help with. Still, Rezo does his best to keep his complaints to himself.

Currently he is in the dressing carriage, and in the process of deciding what supplies he’ll need to claim. He’s already set aside a tent- if nothing else, he’s looking forward to not having to share a cabin for a few nights- but he’s not sure what else he’s going to do with himself for the next few days. So he’s just standing around, with a slightly strained smile on his face.

Recuperation Packs

Rezo has picked up one of the packs at random, seeing as they aren’t labeled, and he has gone off to the side to sort through the contents. There are some books, ‘coloring’ books, apparently, and some rather nice scented soaps… Then he finds something small and soft and lifts it out of the basket.

Rezo now holds up a tiny plush in the palm of his hand with evident interest, gently poking at the smooth eyes and the cloth antennae.

“Is this supposed to be some sort of bug…?”

Despite his confusion, his tone of voice and expression are those of someone who is genuinely pleased with what he has found. Do you dare be a buzzkill and tell the man that he’s picked up one of the wrong packs?

Camping

Night has fallen and Rezo has his tent set up at the campground by the hot springs. He’s already grabbed dinner, everything is packed away inside his tent, and there’s not much for him to do except sit around and relax. And Rezo’s got a nice little fire going, a drink in his hand, and his head is tilted back. One would think he was stargazing except for the fact his eyes remain perpetually shut.

At the sound of somebody’s footsteps approaching, Rezo stops and inclines his head in their direction.

“Good evening.”

He’s not full on drunk but there is some alcohol in that drink he has, and he’s consumed enough to have a buzz going. Enough that some barriers are down, and he asks, “Would you indulge my curiosity? What does the sky look like on this world?”

Memory Maze (closed to Zelgadis and/or Washington)

The walls are cool underneath his hand, the texture of stone easily recognizable. It’s not entirely hard to orient himself- there is a path in front of him, and a path behind him, and it’s fairly obvious he’s in an underground cave of some sort.

The only issue is, he’s not sure how he got here, or where “here” is. But he has an idea, and it’s not an encouraging one.

Stay calm. Find a way out, first.

Keeping one hand on the wall of the cave, Rezo makes his cautious way forward. The chiming of his staff echoes against the stone walls. To those with sight, they may observe that his face is pale, and his brow is furrowed in unconcealed concern.

Given the nature of the worlds they seemed to land on, Lioriley had a few doubts about the memory sharing mentioned in the announcement. Yes, the train had implied that all of that would be done of their own volition - but how likely were mishaps? Would someone be able to accidentally see her memories, or vice versa? The idea terrified her, and it was that terror that drove her to hard focus her attention on anything but that aspect of this relaxation they were offered.

She was already in the carriage when Rezo arrived, having found a simple sundress and a large sun hat to cover herself with. A towel was draped over her arm, gaze turned elsewhere until she happened to glance out of the corner of her eye and see the priest standing nearby.

"Do you need help with anything?"

Kaiba has a number of feelings about returning here, but he can set them aside and take what good he can from this stop. The crew has important work to do here, and the train's also trying to give them a slight reprieve from the constant onslaught of the last few months. Absorbing some sunlight will be good for him, if nothing else---so he grabs some board shoots, a loose top, and some sunscreen.

Thankfully this is a peaceful planet, so this is one of the few stops where he can let Snapper out of her ball. When he reaches the sands he lets the small apple-shaped lizard dig her feet in, and she spins in a slow circle with a happy growl. He crouches next to her, sweeps his gaze up and down the beach...and gets an idea.

A few minutes later will find him digging a large moat, with a slowly growing pile of loose sand beside him. Looks like he's going to build a palace for his princess, who is happily sunning while she watches him. It's nice to not have to do the work.

Should someone approach, he'll grumble about his competent but slow progress. "Sand is the least efficient building material."

Night falls, and Seto becomes more contemplative. The atmosphere is as peaceful as before, and sitting by the steam under the night sky here stirs memories that still bring a smile to his face. People come to these places to relax, right? Release tension, stop dwelling on things they can't control...basically, the polar opposite of his usual.

He settles off to one side of a spring, sinks in, and sighs. It's definitely a step above the train's baths, but as he shifts his shoulders---ow, ouch. Bad move, but good news: he's thought to bring the heating stone from his welcome kit. He presses it to the base of his neck and exhales slowly. That helps.

"...no more keyboard naps." With the pain, he won't forget.

Beach

Shore leave. It's amazing how often the train decides that's what they're doing. She's spent more time vacationing on the train than in her entire lifetime.

Which probably said more about her life than it ought.

So she'll avail herself of the dressing carriage and actually wear something with no relation to a flightsuit, if only because the temperature isn't really suited to her usual getup.

She could certainly have gone for these hotsprings more than once at home. But she apparently gets to indulge in them at home.

The recuperation packs are an amusing treat for someone mostly accustomed to hurried sonic showers. THough one item does earn a laugh as she seeks out someone who has, well, hair. "Want some extra shampoo?"

It smells very nice. It is entirely useless for someone whose hair consists of eyelashes and eyebrows.

Memories

She's almost glad that there's something to be done here to help. Even if it as usual means delving into the depths of one's heart and mind. Much more complicated than the problems they can just shoot. She's not particularly seeking to form a lifebond, but she's willing to engage with this to some degree for the train's sake.

Beach

[ Thanatos has no idea what to do with himself at this moment. The idea of a "vacation" continues to be lost on him. He wants to be productive, work towards something. Keeping to the shade as much as possible, he's doing parchmentwork. The recuperation pack is left alone for now.

However, given that everyone else is showing skin, he's wearing his usual outfit from home. The only difference is he's switched his gorget to the one Zagreus made him, golden with embossed plants and dark crystal inlaid butterflies (of which flickers of fiery laurel leaves spark behind them). ]

[ Thanatos was prepared to help the effort to retrieve the train's memories however he can, but as his own memories start to leak into the area around him, he questions how good of an idea this was. He's Death Incarnate. If someone is unprepared for that and comes across his memories, it could be trouble. ]

Nothing about this feels new.

Sure, maybe it's a little less chaotic than the last time Alice saw anything that gave an indication of the god's past, but the information she's given when she sees the memory itself is almost nothing new. Anything she didn't know yet that she can see in it is something she could have inferred already from the last time, when Thanatos seemed so desperate to escape something.

So she doesn't linger on that. Even though Alice has been so caught up in her own mind for months now, something like this pulls her right out. The trauma is just a little bit too familiar, and Alice doesn't want anyone to have to suffer it, just due to a few people's selfishness.

She doesn't want this place to remind Thanatos of that memory.

"Thanatos..!"

Alice's voice resounds against the walls of the maze-like cave, turning until she spots the god - the actual one, not the younger one reflected in the memory. She runs up to him, obvious worry in her eyes. Maybe there are times where Alice would bother to hide that sort of thing.

But right now? She truly can't muster up the energy to even try. And Thanatos-- she trusts him, anyway.

"Are you alright?"

Does she need to beat up a cave for showing that again - to him, or to others?

Arrival
If she was honest, Eva wasn't sure she wanted to be back here. Not when this is the place that gave her someone she considers a brother. And now Senku was gone, hopefully back to his world, but at the same time... she's not sure and she doesn't want to think about that, thank you very much.

Yet at the same time... She remembers how nice it was here the first time, and it'd be nice to relax and decompress and gather her thoughts again. She's drifting into depression and she knows it.

"So, what do you think you're going to do first?" She asks, one of the recuperation packs in hand.

Hot Springs(CW: nudity)
Anyone who spots her in or around the Hot Springs or Sauna will notice Eva very distinctly does not care she's walking around topless. Nor does she care if the world sees the many scars she has. By now, most are old and faded. Badges of her time as a trainer. 

When she's out of the water, there is a towel looped around her hips; when she's in the water, it's folded neatly to one side. Either way, her hair's pulled up into a messy bun and she looks happy and relaxed, if not rather sad and tired. 

She's not the only one to be enjoying the springs: Princess has taken off, be it to soak, swim or make a general nuisance of himself, often via drenching people in a near literal wave of water with a well-timed shake; that fur holds far more water than it should.

Dancer herself can be seen perched up high, clearly enjoying the ambient heat (and very possibly napping), while Lele is with Eva- who has once again relegated the porygon to the roll of a giant rubber duck she can and will drape herself over.

'Nona and Skeeta seem to have taken over a sunbathing chair. It's nice and warm where they are, at least. 

Reef
Her travels sometimes take her out to the reef for a snorkel. Again, Lele is with her, though this time the porygon projects images. Sometimes, it's of a big tortoise-like creature with a single 'cannon' half poking out of its shell. Other times, Lele projects an arthropod-like monster with scythes for limbs that easily keeps pace with the snorkelling woman.

Anyone who wants to know what the two creatures are will have to get her attention, but it's safe to assume they are pokemon.

Forest
It's practically a given that at some point, Eva finds herself on the outskirts of the forest with only Lele, Skeeta, and 'Nona for company; if one looks carefully, there's another shadow following her. A strange creature that seems to meld into the forest itself.

Eva doesn't seem aware; not with how she's taking as many photos of the plants as she can with Roro. Her pokemon don't seem to notice either. Odd and out of character for anyone who knows anything about Eva's world.

"Pretty, isn't it? Gods, I could spend all day here..." 

It's safe and she could even nap here and not worry.

I – Arrival and start of each day
Nope. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Not happening. Idia’s not having anything to do with this. He doesn’t care. He’s staying in the train. This is so not his type of stop at all. Does he look like the beach type? The camping type? Ok, so he’s had to in the past due to missions and the train vanishing and him wanting currency otherwise he would stay on the train… but it didn’t mean he liked it! It was horrible! So why would he do this by choice when the train is right there?!

Yup, he’s staying put. Let others enjoy the outsides. He will be in the train, enjoying the climate control, his new manga he’s already re-read several times over now, his anime he downloaded when he got to go home and rewatching over and over, his projects. Leave him to that.

…or drag him out of the train. For his own good. Clearly. He’ll be so happy…

II – Sightseeing
Having been forced out of the train by others insisting he should get out and get some sun… Idia is one grumpy boy. He hates everything and everyone for making him do this. However… he did make a promise he would try and explore and get video and pictures in case he ever got to see Ortho again, to show him where he had been and what he had done. He just really doesn’t want to! But, whatever, sure.

Dressed in light, but also covering clothing, and slapping a hat over his head with a mass of blue fire ponytail poking out from the back of it, Idia is playing around with some settings on his skull computer as he stands on the beach, the broomstick he had created on the train in his other hand, planning to take a flight around and see what this place had to it. Who knows, maybe there would be something interesting at one of these spots. He doubted it… but you never know.

He's at a beach. Somewhere sunny. Despite everything, that's actually where he wound up. It's amusing, really.

He's finished his work, so for now he could actually put on swim trunks and enjoy it.

After an hour or so he starts wandering around collecting seashells, just like he said.

Lab Car

WIthin two hours he's gotten restless and is back on the train running tests on the seashells. Is he testing for anything in particular? Well, not until he actually finds something interesting. It's just plain old exploratory science, and what's not to love about that?

Yes, he does actually enjoy running tests on seashells.

While others were enjoying the beach and the sun, Thrawn was hiding from that sun by staying on the train. He had taken some samples from the pink and blue syrupy liquid he had found in the extinct volcano and was running some tests on them now. While Thrawn doesn't precisely 'love' exploratory science, he does recognize how useful it can be.

"I would assume that many of the passengers would be off the train this time, greetings again Dr. Solus."

Cave Spellunking

Everyone is busy enjoying the beaches or the hot springs it seemed. Usagi? She opted for the caves. Beaches usually had strange caves to explore, to see where they ended up at and maybe things that got left behind, right? Usagi had to see what was in there.

Thus, she was off and exploring, using her brooch as a makeshift flashlight - there was light, just not enough. Best to be safe than sorry, right?

"It's pretty in here. Cool, too. Must be the shade." Usagi said. "Let's keep going, alright?"

Hot Springs

"Ahh, this is the life..."

Usagi happened to discover the Hot Springs after getting herself turned around on the island. A quick change and Usagi had slipped into the water to relax. Much better than what the train offered, honestly.

Usagi, honestly, had no idea why she was in the caves. She didn't know what she could do to help the train. But, maybe she could find something either way.

Of course, she wasn't prepared for things that could show up here...

[It happened suddenly, no warning to be found. Between one step and the next-

-After hours of searching, you had finally found Sayaka. She was in some random subway station of all places, but that didn't matter. You sat next to her, popping open the top of a tube of chips. You weren't hungry, not really, but having something in your mouth helped keep you calm like it always did.

You weren't really clear what she was talking about, throwing your words about hope and despair balancing out back at you. Not until you saw her Soul Gem. It was clear as day that she hadn't used a single Grief Seed all this time, the normal pale blue completely concealed by the roiling corruption. You reached for one of your own Grief Seeds, but it was too late.

"I was such a fool."

With those damning words, a single tear fell on her Soul Gem as it turned completely black. It shattered, the frame twisting as black winds blew both you and Sayaka's lifeless body away from it. You could only watch in horror as her Soul Gem changed into what could only be a Grief Seed. As the mermaid in knight's armor formed, sword waved like a conductor's wand bringing a haunting melody forth from a featureless orchestra, you understood. Witches and Magical Girls were one and the same-

-a memory from a perspective not her own flashes through Usagi's mind.

Ple Two - Open

Arrival

Ple Two's going to get up to more interesting things with the memory maze... later. Upon arrival she checked out what she brought one last time, as if it mattered much at this point. She was dressed comfortably and checking out the complementary goodies fairly quickly. Nice smelling... things. Snacks. ...she wasn't going to try to steal one of the adult packs as tempting as it was to try and smuggle a drink just for fun.

"Mmm... what to do first though..." she muttered. Of course she'd already spotted the super soaker boys. That might be fun.

Rocks 'n Beaches

Collecting pretty rocks is, ah, not really Ple Two's idea of a hobby, but it was something to get her attention, and maybe she'd find something actually worth making a gift to people out of. More interesting though... she leaned in as she spotted a crab. Had the crab spotted her? It was clear how Zeon's amphibious mobile suits took design cues from real crustaceans, here and there, especially from chunky little crabs like this one. There couldn't be much of a brain in it, but it still moved and explored and interacted with its surroundings. "Strange little fellow." Cute in an odd way. Possibly tasty, although that was quite unnecessary.

Hot Spring

Now what really helped with stress was a good soak. Taking a nice shower was fine, and swimming in a pool was enough for exercise, and the spa on the train did its best, but nothing matched natural hot springs, soothing, toasty, laden with minerals that may or may not matter but as long as you convinced yourself they mattered...

Ple Two had undressed and slid into the water quietly, leaning her head back. No shame here - trying to cover up would just mean less comfy feeling on her skin. It was too euphoric to lose even a little bit of that.

"Let's just put a whole mountainside on the train," she said quietly. "Just take the entire geological structure under the hot spring. I'm sure it's possible, right?"

...well, she would get down to brass tacks despite wanting to become one with the water. Traveling with others meant sharing memories still, and she hoped to at least avoid Dublin, but there wasn't much control she had such things...

Rocks And Beaches!

"...I wouldn't get too close to it if I were you," Sanzo mainly had kept to himself while exploring the beaches. Truthfully, he wasn't even really dressed for the entire vacation experience, still wearing the usual slacks and purple-hoodie combo that came with anyone who had yet to wish their clothes back into existence upon the express. His expression and tone were indifferent if not a bit tired-sounding as he watched her watch the crab.

If he could, he would have kept to himself as much as possible during this 'vacation trip.'

But Ple Two couldn't help but catch his attention as she scurried about the rocks, slowly inching closer and closer to the crab that was also keeping to itself. Yeah, didn't she know what crabs do if you intimidate them?

Beach.

Out of all the things Altair had assumed could happen upon his arrival, relaxing vacation hadn't exactly topped the list- still, it was nice.

The temperature was a little hotter than he'd have liked- much preferring the cold in general- so he'd dressed down when given the option, and headed on out to explore the world they found themselves on. Though his eyes were hidden away, he didn't have any issues darting around wherever his curiosity took him.

He could be found wandering in the sand- following the odd creature that skittered around, poking at any seashells when coming across them and plunking particularly pretty ones into the bucket he'd brought along. How he knew they were pretty was anyone's guess.

Though it was slightly juvenile he also took the time to build a sandcastle, taking breaks here and there to find pretty shells and shiny rocks to decorate it with. Despite the fact that he was going by feel, it had a certain artistic flair to it.

Of course the hot weather was a little tough on him, and so he could occasionally be found meditating in the shade- ignore the soft muttering of the very disconcerting nature of the Sith code- or wading around in the water stalking any fish daring enough to dart around near him much in the same manner that he'd followed insects and crustaceans on the beach.

For nightfall he could be found camping a bit far from everyone else, tent properly set up and the recuperation pack out in the sand in front of it since he had thought to grab one earlier on in the day, though Altair himself was on his back in the sand outside of it, one arm out to the side and the other stretched up toward the sky- a bug of some sort currently perching atop one of his fingers. His head was tilted back into the sand slightly, though he seemed wholly unconcerned with the fact that he was getting sand stuck in his hair that would likely be stubborn in coming back out.

Exploration.

Though staying on the beach was a valid option, the presence of familiar structures were alluring too. Altair knew what ruins felt like, even if he was just sensing his surroundings with the Force.

And so when not on the beach, his curiosity pulled him further away from sand and water, and further into the island to poke at any ruin he came across. He could be found examining any place that seemed particularly odd or interesting, occasionally muttering to himself about what the structure must have looked like before it was reduced to this state.

There might also be the occasional odd comment that these ruins don't feel nearly haunted enough.

He could also be found poking around for plant-life and flowers- sitting down to make a flower crown had also seemed like a good time to him.

And of course, stalking any local wildlife with a decent bit of curiosity too.

And the insects. If anything, he was quicker to give chase for those. Yes, that did indeed include climbing a tree to get closer to a spider spinning its web. Wearing his eye covering apparently didn't slow him down at all.

Camping

Thrawn stayed inside for almost all of the day and only went to the beach in the very early morning or at night. Tonight he had come out again past sunset with the intention of watching the stars. While it was certainly no match for using the Force to see, seeing in the infrared spectrum was definitely helpful in seeing at night.

Thrawn was taking a meandering walk when he saw that there was a person lying in the sand. He would have avoided them preferring solitude but the bandaged eyes and holding something that was too small to properly make out piqued his curiosity. Even when walking through sand Thrawn's steps were nearly silent. It was only that opaque space in what is usually an active mind that announced his approach

Beach: Fishing!

[ Sebek plans on catching as much fish as he can because there's someone on the train who thinks sandwiches with toast and a little bit of fruit spread in them make for a meal. And Sebek has come across these sandwiches for multiple meals. This is unacceptable for the nutrition required to maintain a fit body, and it doesn't fill him up at all!

He casts his line a distance away from any swimmers, so they won't be in the way of his line or scaring the fish. Beside him is a bucket already teeming with his catches. It just so happens to be next to his attempt of building the Diasomnia dorm out of sand. (The crocodile stirring stick isn't part of the castle-like design.) ]

Memory Maze

[ The whole need to uncover the train's memories is a little strange to Sebek. He doesn't fully understand the importance, but he does understand that doing so will help protect his world. That is good enough for him to attempt to help the recovery effort.

At the moment, he's studying one of the glowing crystals in the walls. He holds up his magic pen and compares the crystal to the magestone. ]

I wonder if there are more to these than just providing light.

[Ruggie's walking past when he...stops, walks back a step. Stares at Sebek, and then squints and stares at Sebek a bit more suspiciously. Then stares at the bucket next to Sebek and takes in the fact that there's a bunch of fish in there, which feels...weird, as

3. Sebek doesn't seem like he's got the patience to fish
4. If he went fishing one would expect him to, say, jump into the water and rip the fish out with his bare hands...or try to

And yet there he was, fishing like a normal guy.

[And then it shut, and then it remained even more shut as Ruggie looked around, half-expecting this to be some kind of elaborate prank and someone with a sense of humor would burst out yelling, "Surprise!" He started to reach for his magic pen, and then he stopped himself. Ruggie very deliberately stopped himself because the temptation to use Laugh With Me to force Sebek to faceplant in the water for laughs was...it was there, but if he was catching food then he was going to do absolutely nothing to stop that, because fish? Fish is tasty.

Fish is absolutely delicious.

And yet this really did seem like some kind of prank...was that actually Sebek? Maybe someone had some shapeshifting magic that he didn't know about. Sebek not yelling at the fish was just...strange. It was really strange.

Maybe Sebek was possessed by something? Were there ghosts? Was he actually Sebek(?) instead of Sebek?

...Ruggie was going to find the nearest...chair, probably, and sit in it just to watch Sebek(?) fish (how?) for a moment or five.]

Starlight Beach

Others might enjoy the beach during the day but the level of heat that the system's star put out was too much for Thrawn. He eschewed the beach altogether until after the sunset. Then it was markedly cooler but also quieter since there were fewer people about. Viewing the stars on the beach was helpful because there were no structures that blocked seeing all of the sky. Thrawn sat quietly now with legs crossed lotus style, watching the night sky. He was more used to using the stars to track a ship's position so to him they were points on a star chart, but looking at them like this it was easier to feel like you were a small part of the grand scheme of the cosmos. Thrawn found the idea somewhat comforting. Though he usually made long-ranging plans that could involve years, he was still able to enjoy the simplicity of this moment.

Volcano Exploration

Since he was staying out of sunlight it was an ideal time to try the cool darkness underground. The fact he could see in the infrared spectrum helped immensely and he was more sure-footed than many professional cave divers. He had repelled down a wall with no assistance from a flashlight so there was very little evidence he was even there except for the jangling of his harness. Even in the volcano's extinct lava tubes, this deep he could not find any evidence of caustic gases, or flowing lava for that matter. Just a very strange pink and blue liquid. He was very carefully taking samples from the liquid to run tests on.

Natural Spring

Again because he was trying to stay out of the sun, Thrawn had taken to swimming underneath shade in the middle of the day. It did help with trying to beat the heat but it also meant that there were leaves in whatever pool of water he did find to swim in. Now he dove down deep and just let himself hang suspended there in watery darkness. The only thing that he could hear was his own heartbeat. The only thing he could feel was the water around him. It was peaceful. But the growing constriction on his chest was demanding that he surface and when he finally did he did not make a great deal of splash or noise.

“You are troubled.” Thrawn said to the nine-year-old little girl in the shuttle’s co-pilot seat. She didn't answer instead looking at the starscape beyond the shuttles view screen with apprehension.
“They’ve never understood you have they." He said into her silence.
She wrinkled her nose in distaste looking at him sidelong as if to say what would he know about it?
"You want more than you've been given", he continued, "And you don't know what you'll do when you're no longer a Skywalker."
"I know what happens." she tried to scoff but still sounded a bit apprehensive. "They told me. I'll get adopted by a ruling family." "That's what you'll be" he agreed, "but not what you'll do. You'd like to fly, wouldn't you?"
The little Chiss girl looked at him fully and frowned. "How did you know that?"
"Your drawings", he answered, "you've been using the graph markers your caregiver gave to you to draw birds and flash flies or seascapes and landscapes as seen from above. Not many your age do that."
"I'm a Skywalker", she muttered, "I see things from the sky all the time."
"Actually you don't", Thrawn said then paused and touched a key on his control board. And suddenly all the lights on the control board on his side went off and the lights on the little girl's side came on. She jerked back in surprise. "There are two handgrips in front of you," Thrawn said calmly. "Take one in each hand."
"W-what?" she said in shock.
"I'm going to teach you how to fly," Thrawn replied evenly. "This is your first lesson."
"Y-you don't understand", she said with fear in her voice, "I have nightmares about this"
"You have nightmares about flying?" he asked.
"About falling," she said fearfully. "Falling, being blown around by wind, drowning-"
"Can you swim?" Thrawn asked.
"No", she said then revised it some, "Well maybe a little."
"Exactly", Thrawn said, "It's fear that's driving those nightmares. Fear and helplessness. You feel helpless in the water so you dream of drowning. You feel helpless in the air so you dream of falling." Thrawn pointed to the handgrips. "Let's take some of that helplessness away."
She looked from him to the handgrips. Swallowed hard. Then gingerly took hold of one in each hand.

1. Ruin Exploration

[Ryou has taken to looking around the ruins on the island, apparently quite curious about the place. He's not at all unnerved by the idea of abandoned ruins, instead taking it as a chance to get moving and take a break from the confines of the train.]

Wonder what happened to the people who lived here... [It's a very good question, one he probably won't get a full answer for.]

2. Night Camping

[Now that night's fallen and Ryou's gotten set up to camp out overnight, he's going to spend some time just. Stargazing.

There's a lot of them to look at, and honestly, it's a lot better than having nothing but the void outside the train. He'll take the chance to look at a real sky without being on a mission any day.]

3. Memory Share (Closed to Ryo, Day 1)

[He wasn't even trying to take part in the memory sharing part of this stop, and yet he got a memory that isn't his out of nowhere. Ryou doesn't want to ignore this, so now it's time to go find the owner of the memory to talk about what just happened.]

[Ryou follows the cave tunnel, one hand trailing along the wall as he moves along. He honestly has no idea what he's looking for, beyond the train's lost memories, so he's currently exploring the caves, searching for anything that might help. Besides, he's got quite a bit of sympathy for the train, since missing memories and lost time is not fun.

Coming across a fork, he briefly thinks about which way to go before taking the right hand path. He's always supposed to keep to the right in a maze, isn't he? He thinks that's correct, at least, so he's going to keep to the right. Hopefully it'll pan out.]

Exploring - everywhere on land

It's not super often K'zeka gets the opportunity to just...explore a place. Often he's on a mission of some kind or there's a time crunch and he just doesn't get a proper look around. Here is different. There's nothing that needs to get done Right Now, it's nice out, and he's faced with a whole island what needs exploring.

So he's going to explore it. He's just about everywhere, so it's entirely possible to run into him at some point, whether it be poking around ruins, attempting to catch fish with his bare hands (it's a valid strategy!) or even napping on a particularly warm part of the beach.

He's doing all of this in a pair of swim trunks and sandals. It's fine.


Underwater exploration

Less often, K'zeka can be found in the lagoons or on the shores of the island, mostly underwater. Which might be concerning to some who might be watching him for an extended period, because despite the lack of scuba equipment, he seems to be spending more time underwater than should be possible.

When he does surface, however, he likely has something in his hands--colorful pebbles or shells or particularly interesting clumps of seaweed--that he drops into a basket near the shore.

Beach Antics?

Sonic didn’t deal with the problems that the others dealt with, but a vacation was a vacation. He’d let the others do what they want, he was going to his own spot.

Thus, Sonic was parking his blue butt at the beach, kicking open a chair and umbrella and setting it up before sitting down on the chair, donning a pair of shades.

“Oh, yeah, this is the best!” He said, leaning back. “Hey, wanna join me?”

Volcano?

Sonic’s desire to run across the place lead her to end up near the volcano prominent on the island. However, everything didn’t seem right. No smoke at all. Not even heat.

And the lava…?

“What in the world?” Sonic uttered, looking at it.

Memory 1) An Odd Moment With Kazoos

The first vision you see is of a strange fantasy game-type town, various people wandering around. You'll notice your height might be off - you're looking at things from the height of a certain hedgehog. After awhile, you hear it: a kazoo playing. A kazoo playing loud. A kazoo playing a song that some Earthlings might recognize as...

On a platform outside is a man in red and black blowing on a kazoo through his mask, a white furry creature flying beside him doing the same.

Blinking, the figure looks up to a redheaded teen who is also confused at the sight.

"Any clue what's going on?" You ask.

"N-No idea at all..." she mutters, shaking her head.

Memory 2) A Fight to Save the Multiverse. No big deal

Sonic remembers this all too well. The fight to save everything. Everyone. People he's met and befriended the entire time he was on Crystallis and the person behind the mess they were in.

Sonic hated the nihilistic ideas Kalki preferred, wanting a cycle of perfection and safe and boring. The others felt the same way.

They had the power to stop this and they would.

It would be a rough fight for them, gunning for everything they could here.

Thinking while trying to Relax

The General looked back at the sun in the skies, covering his hands with his eyes. Not very often the solider got the actual chance to relax after 30 years fighting a artificial intelligence who seemed to play against his every move.

This place was peaceful, much too peaceful for his likes after exiting a warzone. He's seen too much shit to relax now.

Connor held his weapon near his side and a pack of alcohol near him. He never really felt comfortable in peacetime.

A walk? Maybe this would calm the older man's heart after thinking a bit too long about certain events that transpired. John is focused in on the ancient items allowing himself to view them.

Memory Maze

The General volunteered for a trip inside the memory maze, hearing the train needed pieces of itself back.

Except the fact that he appeared almost back at his home "Earth" and buildings fell ruined and crushed under the terminators grasp. He walked out from the bunker where he stayed as his soldiers saluted him going by as he looked out his digital binoculars. For once he walked out of his own dream, he saw other's dreams that equally were strange in their own right.

Attempted relaxation

Hera knows that look all too well. SHe's pretty sure she's worn it a few times when the train stopped somewhere peaceful. It's still strange to actually wear casual summer clothing, even if she wasn't usually out in the field.

She glances down at the weapon that tells her a great deal about her fellow passenger. "It takes some getting used to."

It probably helps that she's so susceptible to the kids dragging her into things.

I. Salt Water... So Water With Salt.

Truthfully, Genjo Sanzo had been fairly uninterested in the curiosities of the crew that had existed on the Voidtrecker Express before them. He was still fairly new to the train and its wonders after all. And he had his own issues that he had currently been trying to work through.

They were issues he much rather preferred to ignore. But considering the limited space of the train he had come to find that completely avoiding matters was nay impossible.

Arriving to a world where they were supposed to relax helped though. It meant that he could have space, without having to worry about any unexpected dangers or strange monsters. He could actually find some time to keep to himself. And he was more than happy to do just that upon the trains’ first day of arrival. As they were let off he was quick to separate from the rest of the crew. Walking out to explore the curiosity of the beaches and memory caves. He never had seen a beach up close and in person before. He had only ever heard about it. But it was vast, and large, and just as intimidating as he expected it to be. Was it harder to swim in than in a river? It probably was fairly salty to the taste. Right, an ocean filled with salt water...

It was only as he felt that he distanced himself enough that he threw his bag down onto the sand. Sighing out as he leaned down to start undoing his boots. Quickly kicking them off and feeling the sensation the sand against his toes.

What a strange experience.

It was only then that he decided that it was safe to relax. Laying down with a thunk, and stretching out his arms and legs as he took a quiet moment to stop and enjoy the sun on his face, listening to the waves and the sound of the birds that sounded so foreign from those he knew as they made noises overhead.

Finally, he could take a moment to keep his mind from racing with all the thoughts of what he was going through.

In fact, he was so relaxed that he seemed to be dozing off… And it looks like the tide was starting to come in. Also he was starting to turn a little red in the face… Huh.

II. Any memory But That (Cw; Character Death, Blood, Violence)

Sanzo understood the premise of their being there. Siphon through memories in hopes of possibly gaining information on the trains previous owners. It was a simple enough concept, to travel through illusionary depths of one’s own mind.

But Sanzo had a complicated relationship with his memories. He respected them for what they were. He respected that they existed. He respected that they were what made him who he was. With everything he had gone through, how could he not?

But many of his memories were sour and bitter and things he felt most certainly belonged where they were, in the past. He was striving for a better future. Taking steps away from his experiences and using them as lessons to create something better.

So as he cautiously traversed the dimly lit caves, a sense of dread seemed to overwhelm him as, with the turn of a corner, the usual rocky terrain and cool blue glowing stalactites were gone. Instead replaced with what appeared to be a room with polished wooden floors, stone walls, and wooden pillars befitting a traditional eastern aesthetic. The screen doors were pulled open, and the crickets from outside could be heard as the evening sun seemed to set in the distance. It was warm with summer monsoon, but the evening’s breeze was just beginning to pick up. A tell that fall was close to come. The branches of the forest outside swaying in the breeze as a lone older man sat away from him upon the stoop.
“… Master?”

He tried to speak out for Koumyou, wondering how the other Sanzo had managed to get here before him. But then something happened. A younger voice spoke out at the same time he did, causing a strange echo of the phrase.
Quickly turning around, Sanzo came to face to face with a young boy, no older than 13, with intense violet eyes and bright golden hair.

“… Shit.”

No. Not this. Any memory but this one.

I. Salt Dragon... So Dragon With Salt.

It's quite a while longer into the day that Koumyou drifts into sight, draped on a ridiculous pink 'doughnut' of a pool floaty, complete with fake frosting and sprinkles. He's also just chillin, wearing nothing but pink swim trunks covered in a pattern of yellow rubber duckies, a pair of pink heart sunglasses, his light up kitty headphones, the ARMs band of course, and...

A whole lot of sunscreen.

His sutra, as ever when dressed this way, is just in scroll-form and stuck in a pocket of his shorts. The practical reason he'd bought this pair on Aquafir, versus the less practical 'they're super cute!' reason.

The older priest is aware he's drifted near-ish to Kouryuu, of course. Or rather, to his sutra. Koumyou turns his head to regard his son, all grown up and... fully dressed on a beach. (No, taking your shoes off doesn't count.)

And that looks like a hell of a sunburn from here.

Instead of calling out to his grumpy son, Koumyou chooses another method of getting his attention. Sanzo will feel a strangely-shifting shadow overhead, and the moment he opens his eyes he'll have just a second to take in the sinuous, highly detailed dragon made of seawater, nearly snoot to face...

Before the spell ends and all that water just, comes right down onto him.

Surprise!

"You're getting sunburnt over there, Kouryuu!" Koumyou calls out helpfully, entirely unaware of how bad salt is going to feel on someone's super secret wounds. "I have sunscreen if you want some!"

Wash

1. Son of a beach

It's been a good long while for Wash since shore leave has been on an actual shore, but he'll take it. The dressing car has provided board shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, buttoned for now - he's not shy about his scars, but there are kids aboard, and he doesn't want to explain the particularly nasty one on his chest to anyone who hasn't hit puberty yet. Just because the kids here can generally handle the concept of mortality doesn't mean he needs to bring it up in front of them.

He's not the only one with a new look; he'd spent the first hour of their stop meditating on the train, and now the fifteen-pound cat on his shoulders is a bengal. Norwegian Forest cats aren't great in hot weather; if they're going to be spending a few days on a tropical island, then he's going to make sure Athena is at least comfortable.

You can find him laid out on a towel on the beach, with Athena next to him on her own smaller towel, shamelessly sunbathing; you can find him in the hot springs, shirt neatly folded off to the side and guarded by Athena, who occasionally dips a paw in the water and baps him in the face with it; or you can find him offering you a squirt gun with a grin, holding his own squirt gun in his other hand. "Pistols at dawn?"

2. Let the memory live again

He'd tried to come to the memory caves alone. He knows his memories can be rough, and he doesn't want to subject anyone to them - not when the point of being here is to figure out the gaps in the train's memories.

He's not that lucky. He never is.

You probably take him by surprise - maybe you walk into the middle of his memories, or maybe he walks into yours. Either way, he's immediately guarded and alert. "Great."

He's not sure how exactly to go about finding train memories except to wander around these caves until he finds one that isn't his. His or someone elses.

So as the cave faded around him and is replaced by an unfamilliar place he frowns. He sees Wash... Ah.

He doesn't want to pry, but he's not sure how not to see what is about to happen.

Vegeta | Red Team | OTA

I – Getting ready and arrival
Vegeta really was never one for ‘holidays’, he had a hard time accepting down time, so the mention of this new stop wasn’t that exciting or interesting to him. The possibility of this memory thing… also was not something Vegeta was keen on, however he realizes it may be good timing considering conversations he and Bulma have had over the last month or so… Whatever it was, he knows he will get dragged out of the train to ‘have a break’ anyway, though he does leave most of the organization up to Bulma before the day, she was the one who normally picked out his new clothing anyways so he entrusted that to her. He also doubts she would want to camp out while they had access to the train, so looking at the camping supplies was useless. No, he would leave it in her hands and just continue about like it was a normal day…

On the day itself, as he steps out of the train and taking a moment of observing it all… Vegeta likes it. While this reminded Vegeta of the resort stop they had a while ago, he actually likes this better. Less people around. Sure it wasn’t as set up as well as the resort, in fact it looked quite deserted, but if the train is to remain then that wouldn’t be a huge issue. Looking around and finding what was where included those little gift bag things waiting for them. Mostly Vegeta’s uninterested, most likely passing off the body care items to his wife. The alcohol? Sure, why not. That stone was… interesting. Not something he’s ready to have an attachment to, but is curious enough with examining it, turning it over in his hands as he reacted to his touch.

II – Training
Now this was another reason Vegeta liked this stop; the space. There was so much of it for him to use, and he would be making the most of it, having flown out over the ocean away from the beach to allow himself plenty of room to train without worry of others being affected by the ki he was letting off. It’s not energy blasts, more like being near a pressure wave, those punches and kicks of his mock fighting carrying more weight behind them compared to what he does on the train, some even being able to hear the crack and boom of them despite not hitting anything solid.

It’s a shame he doesn’t have someone to train against though… unless another, who can fly since Vegeta is hovering over the water to do this, who thought they could stand against him wants to join in…

If not, after some time Vegeta will float back to the shore after working up a sweat, maybe a quick dip into the water along the way to cool himself off. He’s made no attempts to hide the training, so it would be noticeable from the beach, that boom of air pressure, the flare of ki, and the water having reacted to the force he had put off. In the end, it’s just a good open space to work with, shame they wouldn’t be staying around longer for him to use it.

III – Hot springs
It’s not all training here though, as Vegeta does take an interest upon hearing about those hot springs to the west of their arrival point. Access to hot water like this was such a luxury for so long, and while showers were more practical, he did enjoy just being able to relax in a bath or similar. Though Vegeta’s tastes tend to run hotter than most, at least humans, but this is coming from a being able to tolerate extreme temperatures as needed, even that of lava.

So Vegeta will be going between the spring options, testing them out until he finds the hottest of them, then settling in to relax for a bit. You know… maybe it would be nice to have this a bit more like a resort, you know, for drinks and food and stuff. Ah well, Vegeta will deal with those later.

IV – Beachside barbecue: closed to Washington
It’s late in the day, heading towards evening but not quite dark yet a day or two into the trip, Vegeta having set up somewhere comfortable on the beach to make the most out of the access to fresh fish he and others have caught, with a fire lit and a least half a dozen of them cooking all at once around it. It’s more a snack than a full meal, but Vegeta would have a proper dinner later in the evening, this was more just enjoying the chance to eat this. Plus, you know what, even a few drinks. Why not? Vegeta’s not a heavy drinker, it’s more when it’s a time to celebrate or relax, and right now… sure, it’s good enough time to relax.

And also, it’s not bad company, though Wash did have a mouth on him and liked to stir up trouble. Actually… that’s not too bad, in a way Vegeta’s fallen out of practice with this kind of talk, he did it often with Nappa and Raditz, less so since being on Earth. It was… a strange reminder of his earlier life.

V – Wildcard

Memory Maze: Warning for internal body appearances, cells, parasites, etc. in large sizes

Vegeta is not one to like the idea of others seeing his memories. He hated fusion partly for that, and while he had suggested this to Bulma at this stop, that was her and for a very specific reason. This whole maze thing though… he’s not a fan about, however if this somehow helps those on the train, he would do it. Maybe it would help them get home, or to bring back those who had ‘left’, or… something. So he would try. He would hate it, but he would try.

So while not keen on this at all, Vegeta does enter that maze, and reaches out for those glowing crystals… to find those memories of places he has been:

A)
The room’s lines are sleek and slick, everything rounded and with no real edge to it, bright artificial lights leaving no shadows in the room as several strange pods hooked up to wires and tubes sat down the middle of the room. There’s desks around and cabinets holding other strange looking medical supplies, computers and tablets blinking away in a strange language where notes and readings from the machines are kept. Looking out the large doorway it shows a curved hallway in a similar appearance, the milling of feet and voices moving past but as one looks they will note all beings seen are very, very alien, a range of different types all dressed in similar armor as they go about their business. Round windows look outwards to the scene beyond, showing a scene of a planet with green sky, land, and water.

B)
There’s the sounds of people, talking to each other, movement of feet, clapping, cheering, it loud enough to tell it was a very large crowd even beyond the internal room where you find yourself. There’s windows and doors allowing natural light in as several people mill around the space, many of them clearly athletically trained and wearing a variety of fighting style garments; some more traditional gi’s, and some who seemed to think it was a time to dress up as super heroes. It was the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament waiting area for the fighters, the outside ring just beyond the door as a large board displayed the line-up of who the fighters were and who they were paired up against in the first round.

C)
Where you now are was very clearly no longer the cave. Or anywhere inorganic. In fact it was very, very organic; the slight squishy bounce of the ‘floor’ under your feet, the sounds of liquids and other matter moving in the far distance but also sounding like you were surrounded by it, the matter floating that looked like oversize blood cells and other microorganisms which moved sometimes close enough to brush near you. They were inside something, something very specific. Buu. And honestly… it was disgusting.

WangJi

[WangJi was, of course, still his usual dignified self as he headed down to the beach. Well… mostly. Rather than wearing his normal robes, he had on a yukata he had received the last time they had been to beach… and it had blue bunnies on it.

Because of course it did.

He spent a bit of time on the beach enjoying the scenery. Even back home, he didn’t often get to see the beach. His home was in the mountains, so this was entirely difference from what he was used to.

Later in the day, he headed up to find the ruins of the ancient houses. He would certainly take his time walking around them and through them. He was studying them as though he could learn something about the people who had once lived in those houses. There wasn’t that much that he was really able to tell, but he was still interested to see if there was something.

And lastly, he headed to the hot springs. The outside area was most pleasant, he decided, as he settle into one of the pools, leaving his rabbit robe off to the side and only wearing the swim trunks that he had put on under the yukata. It wasn’t like home though. For one, it wasn’t a cold spring. Secondly, it also wasn’t as private as the cold spring in the Cloud Recesses.

But then again, what on the train was private?]
